About 2 years ago my son woke me up in the middle of the night. He came into my room and said, "Daddy.... there's something under my bed." After I checked for monsters, I told him what we would do, we would go out to the store and buy the scariest toy monster that we could find. and then put it under his bed so that it would scare away any other monsters that might want to hang out under there.

He pick out a rubbery, stretchy, ugly, gross to touch, purple octopus. From then on he never woke me up again in the middle of night. And the purple octopus will always be something I treasure.

Whakara dons a Kanohi Olmak, the Mask of Dimensional Gate, and has a crossbow as his tool.

Although Atlas made Whakara to be male, I prefer to think of him/them as gender ambiguous, mostly because I didn't know it's a "he" until latest strips. >>

Toa Bomonga was a member of the elite Toa Hagah group assigned to Makuta Teridax. Used to be a quiet type, preferring to work alone and employing stealth tactics. Despite that, got famous for wrangling a Tahtorak Dragon by using his Mask Power to become as large as the beast itself. Bomonga wears the Great Mask of Growth, shaped after Great Kanohi Hau (the original design of the mask, color placement, armor pieces and spearhead were devised by Demitsorou in their Toa Hagah lineup).

This is Kraata-Kal, a prodigal son to the very Makuta Teridax. Once upon a time Makuta decided to experiment with mysterious mutagen known as Kal and dipped a Kraata of his own making into it. The resulting creature proved to be too intelligent, and with ambitions worth of his heritage, so soon after Kraata-Kal received himself a heavily modified Rahkshi-like exo-skeleton, he left the home shores of Destral towards the new beginning as the Dark Hunter.

This model is made in the likeness of Demitsorou‘s depiction of Kraata-Kal.

Taking care of the forest, watching for really nasty predators and making sure they weren’t dangerous, taking out poachers, there was a pretty good amount of stuff to do.”
