Built for "Round 2" of Bio-Cup 2022.
Theme: Numerically!
Sub-Theme: 9
Took inspiration from the The Hermit tarot card, number IX (9) of the Major Arcana... and muse of the Led Zeppelin ZOSO album.
EDIT: Ah, what the heck. I'll go ahead and double-dip and enter it into the "Going Big" category of Summer Joust 2022 as well.
Professor Walthorpe,
Thank you for submitting to the Journal of Extraordinary Creatures.
It is right that we should fear the actions of the beasts that emerge from our seas and earth and skies. We curate our publication for the edification of the public, so that fear might be practically applied. But if we fear their action, we can take refuge in their rest. If we should fear rest; if mere pause, or change, or halt could end us; and if everything we know rested on the mercy- no, that presumes to much- rested on the whims of an unknowable mind; then, there is no practical action to be taken. There is only terror, or ignorance.
The Journal declines to publish your submission. We hope you will have the grace to not submit elsewhere.

Major thanks to Buttloaf for the background edit.

Officially classed as a multi-purpose operation destroyer, this Kaiju Carrier is adept at striking from the sea while its reserves of heli-planes provide support from the air.
My biggest MOC. It's heavy. Hoping to clean up its structure a bit so it'll travel to BFVA without breaking into a million pieces.

The Undying Traveler has only one goal: to find the ancient deity that controls the forces of Nature, whose name has been long lost in time…
*At last, after centuries of searching, the Traveler reaches his destination.*
My entry in the preliminary round of Bio-Cup 2022 with the theme of “Nature”.
My main inspiration for this build was this music video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=roh_p2l8DHo
A white background version of the picture, as well as some shots of individual parts of the build can be found on my Flickr page and in one of the albums below.
Built fot the preliminary round of Bio-Cup 2022! The theme was Nature and I thought this majestic deer spirit fit that prompt quite well. This build was inspired by the boss from From Software's recent masterpiece, Elden Ring.
200-million-year-old local wildlife.
Built for Bio-Cup 2022 preliminaries. Permian fauna was my pick because I actually happen to live in the region this geological period is named after.

His greatness was too mighty for Earth, so he was split into four beings.
Made for the second round of Bio-Cup.
Loosely based on Indian varna system.
4 main social classes of ancient India were associated with body parts of the primordial being, sacrificed by gods.

Huge thanks to everyone who provided me with feedback - not just for this particular build, but throughout the contest in general. It was fun!

Built for "Round 1" of Bio-Cup 2022. I went for an earthquake themed robotic kaiju here, with pile-driver legs and equipped with large drills for tunneling through the earth.

"For round one, you will be building Kaiju to face off against your opponents. Kaiju are giant monsters originating in Japanese sci-fi/fantasy films. You may recognize Godzilla, Mothra, or King Ghidorah from this genre. You may have also seen Kaiju in movies like Pacific Rim or in manga like Kaiju no 8. Kaiju are massive creatures of divine power, often depicted attacking major cities or fighting each other.
For this round, we want you to bring these behemoths to life under various themes."

DYNASTINAE REGALIS translates roughly to Royal Rhinoceros Beetle. The concept of a Bug Knight has been on my mind since I started playing Hollow Knight in 2020.
I plan to make more knights in the future, as they are decently sturdy and very customizable.

Bio-Cup 2022, Round 3, theme: BLOOD.
More on Cyclopic Bricks.
Color! Mixing things up a bit with a nice cool blue backdrop.
Was sorting minifigure accessories and came across two feathered headdresses (6029b) that reminded me of a hairy mandril head. Working with the few orange pieces in my collection was quite tricky, but I'm very happy with the top-heavy proportions of this character.
Also a Hail Mary attempt at getting through the Biocup prelims with the theme of "Nature". I'm loving making animal heads, but am having a little trouble incorporating any weird Bionicle bits among slope-based characters!
One of the largest flying animals known to science, and an equally intimidating presence on the ground.
My entry for the prelims of the 2022 Bio-Cup, the theme being Nature. Inspired by the recent Prehistoric Planet docuseries, and not the first azhdarchid in this competition. Great minds think alike.
Thanks to Luterem for the touch-up.

The first Noble Truth: The nature of existence is suffering.
Built for the 2022 BioCup Prelims.
Based on the first three of the Four Sights, which leads into the first Noble Truth of Buddhism. Thought it would be fun to give it more of a Bionicle twist.
Bit more of a personal build for me as I've considered myself a Buddhist since 2018 (haven't taken the percepts yet but have read a lot of the texts and have been applying it to my daily life).
Built for the Biocup 2022 Preliminary Round for the theme “Nature.” You could say it’s meant to represent the duality of nature and human nature. We see something beautiful… and we want to make our mark on it. Or it’s just bc funny guy with chainsaw go VRRRRREEEEEEEE

"At first glance, Tarduk thought he might have been made of plants. He was tall and green, with thorns jutting out from his arms and legs and intertwined roots crisscrossing his chest. His eyes were an emerald so dark they were almost black. His arms were long, with thick vines wrapped around them, and more thorns served as his claws. Even his sword looked like it was a green and growing thing, though sharp and deadly…”

Worshipped by few and feared by many, the Cosmic Leech drifts from planet to planet, splitting them asunder to feast on the molten core within.

"Finally! Reptillion will stand no chance against this machine."
"Sir, with all due respect, neither will we."
My entry to Round 1 of the 2022 Bio-Cup, the theme being Kaijune. My subtheme was Robotic Kaiju, which put a bit of a damper on my excitement, but I worked through it. The concept went through several increasingly stripped-down iterations before settling on this, and then I added a rough approximation of a B-2 literally in the last 10 minutes because that's how the brain works sometimes.
Thanks to Luterem for some minor touch-ups, do not expect a gallery this thing has a single good side and you're seeing it.

As per usual, I got ahead of myself when I decided to build eight different gsr representing our solar system. When I finally reached Jupiter, I was all out of time, ball joints, 2L bars and creativity. Still I had a great time trying to recreate the continents on Earth, I'm really happy with Saturn, and I'm so glad to have finally gotten to use the metallic blue pieces from the 2002 super battle droid, and the metallic blue kranas to make Neptune.

Excerpt from the classified report to the UN security council regarding the I.I. incident, day 51.
"Little is known of the previous vessel(s) of the Interdimensional Innards (I.I.), or if said Innards indeed required a vessel previous to its apparent encounter with an individual of the Blue Poison Arrow Frog or Dendrobates Tinctorius "Azureus", nicknamed FrogA. Be it as it may, this encounter is noted to be the initiating incident leading to the collapse of the entire biome of the northern Brazil region.
The pinpointing of the gravitational anomaly detected by LIGO having lead to its discovery, initial reports suggest the threat could have been contained in the early stages of the parasitification of FrogA, when all that could be noted was a special smell (noted as indescribable by Mokatu et al.) coming off the content of its abdomen observed through full gastric eversion. It appears however that repeated full gastric eversions were a specific trait sought by the I.I. to quickly develop and fully take over its host. In the span of 37 hours following its discovery, phenomena described as 'downright bizarre' by Mokatu and his team, led to the destruction of the area. Those events are recounted in logs whose content goes outside the scope of this report.
The latest appearence of the I.I. on the 12/23/22 marks its 4th spotting in as many continents as of its discovery 51 days ago. This latest form confirms the infered fate of FrogA, that it is no more a living animal but a mere vessel of flesh controled by the Innards. The body has mutated thoroughly, as it grew to resemble the 50m one eyed beast of spotting 4. Furthermore, the jaw and trachea having withered away, the only way for the I.I. to manifest is done through a self-inflicted evisceration, spilling the abdomen's content on the ground where its true work can begin.
The writhing entrails seem to feed off matter itself, leaving areas desolate, giving off strong radiation and other forms of exotic emissions. Solid emissions consist of metric tons of xeno-organic matter, described by Mokatu before their unfortunate demise on spotting 3, as 'the stuff of nightmares'. Reports of strange portals and pathways from the probes sent inside suggest an inside way vaster than seen from the outside. These findings match with the gravitational waves observed which suggest the presence of a decaying black hole of 150 to 200 solar masses. A number which grows exponentially between each spotting.
Attempts to commnicate have proved fruitless.
In 51 days, the Interdimensional Innards have grown to be able to absorb 3-storey buildings.
Current estimations suggest that they will be able to absorb the entirety of planet Earth by day 64."
...is over-reactive and violent.
