Wearing a black teardrop

This large untitled piece by Bharti Kher has placed large circles of felt on a painted background. They represent the red bindi spot placed on the forehead of Indian married women - though the tradition is changing and they are now used by many people in India and in a variety of colours.

WHat I enjoyed about this was the capture of the croc as well as the fella and the reaction of the crowd in the background.

The bride is bengali and they use sandalwood and kumkum to make the bindi. I used water colors to do that.

Pammy wanted a bindi. And to pick out my outfit. Hell yeah.

I hate this picture because of the red lipstick, the bindi, Anna and all but it's rare untagged.

9 weeks old... + or minus... a rescue pup supposedly blue heeler....

Lauren of Empire agreed to let me bindi her. Mehron glittermark and metallic paint, and new super-secret sindoor. Goodies from www.mehandi.com. This was actually an oops shot, I stuck my fingers over the flash and somehow caught her in the space between them - I just liked the effect!

Bindi has lots of fun running around our garden.

The other day Bindi was sitting on the armrest of the couch watching the outside world just like a cat.

Showing my "spiritual" side...

I kind of have bags, but I think those come from wearing my glasses.
