These little birds are more fun to make than anything else I've done but take an incredible amount of patience and time to get all the details right
For every 5 Birds I start...3 end up in the scrap bucket.....so each survivor is truly a labor of love and a one of a kind treasure
This was the first felt hat I made. I thought it was a little tight so adjusted the pattern for the others. Now I'm thinking I like this tightness more.

Are these making a comeback? I remember them being "in" after I went to India back in 2000... where ironically I had bought some just to wear whilst there...

bindi tu is a revamp of a really old bindi i made while back. well not revamp completely remade, it is shown of the Logo Alex Mesh Head, not sure but I may have just had issues with it on Catwa but can try. heart emoticon ~*Event Exclusive.*~

Yuki sometimes manages to have great adventures, even within the confines of our yard.
She came into the house sporting a grass-stain bindi, and was really self-conscious about it (although my incessant laughter probably didn't help).

Bindi here has been visiting with me for several months now but I feel as though she has truly missed being home with her mommy, Tracey (marzipandaizy). She will soon be going back home and she is so excited!!!
Bindi had a day trip to see friends in Felixstowe. In between the showers she went and sat on the rocks and looked out to sea.
After visitng some Indian villages the local women decided it only proper to adorn my face with the traditional Bindi, in order to preserve my modesty...
A bindi (from Sanskrit bindu, meaning "a drop, small particle, dot") is a forehead decoration worn in South Asia (particularly India)[1] and Southeast Asia, not to be confused with a tilaka. Traditionally it is a dot of red colour applied in the center of the forehead close to the eyebrows, but it can also consist of a sign or piece of jewelry worn at this location. (wiki)
