This huge beehive shaped granary is the 'icon' of Patna and was built in 1786, by captain John Garstin for the British army after the famine of 1770. The massive structure is 125 meters wide at the base and gradually tapers up to a height of 29 meters. It's walls are 3.6 m wide at the base and has two external stairways that spiral upwards around the monument. The top of the dome affords a fine view of the city and the river Ganga flowing nearby.

The solar system is demonstrated through this special arrangement at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya at Bhithiharwa, Bihar. The participants are girls from the school and a nameplate hangs around their neck which has the names of the planets and the sun. This demonstration was watched by other girls in the school. Rotation and Revolution of the planets was explained.
Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya are residential schools for girls belonging to economically and socially backward background. The schools are named after Kasturba Gandhi, wife of Mahatma Gandhi. Balika means girl and Vidyalaya means school. We work with some 'KGBVs' and the one at Bhithiharwa is one of them.

Jitwarpur is a rural village close to the town of Madhubani in Bihar, one of India's poorest states despite its fertile land. Kundalpur(Sanskrit: कुण्डलपुर) is a historical site in India. It is located in central Bihar, 1.6 km from the ruins of Nalanda. The Digambar sect of the Jains believes that KundalpurBihar is the birthplace of the 24th and last Tirthankar, Lord Mahavira. A new temples and Nandyavrat Mahal was built under the Ashirwad of Aryika Gyanmati Mataji. Digambar, also spelt Digambara is one of the two main sects of Jainism, the other being Svetambar.

右側の舗装路の断面から鉄筋が出ていて、あまり端に寄るとタイヤがパンクしてしまうので、大型車同士のすれ違いはかなり時間がかかります。
そのうえ、写真のように、大きな荷物を載せた自転車も通るので、1時間で数百メートルくらいしか進みませんでした。

A Román Vasútak 97-0506-2 számú 97-es sorozatú motorvonata Holod felé közeledik Belényes felől Bihar megyében. A vonattal párhuzamosan jöttünk egy szakaszon, és minden átkelőnél sorompót kaptunk miatta - így viszont remekül lehetett fotózni.
