In early September 2011, a film crew from Shine TV spent all day filming scenes for ITV's 'The Biggest Loser' at the University of Birmingham's Edgbaston campus.
Most of the filming was done at Sport and Exercise Sciences, where the show's contestants were tested and assessed using the School's world-class equipment and expertise. The filming was facilitated by Ideas Lab's Project Director, Lucy Vernall, who spent the entire day with the crew.
