The Dallas Amtrak Station is located in the shadow of the Reunion Tower in Downtown Dallas. The Reunion Tower is 561-feet tall and features two restaurants and an observation deck which afford visitors an outstanding view of Dallas.

Obviously snow holds the scent of the wild better than the naked ground - Darius was happy as a snow-king, leaving only clouds of snowdust behind him :-)
Today - all the wonderfull whiteness is doomed, a warm storm will reach us soon and everything will sink into mud.....yeech.....no White Christmas :-(

Big D's Bar-B-Q in Pocahontas, Mississippi (not as off-the-beaten path as it sounds - right on Mississippi Highway 49 about 20 miles north of Jackson).
Teepee updated and upclassed from the old days. The food too, which is now outstanding.
