This photograph was taken on the 7th March 2015 at the East Lancashire Spring Diesel Gala. The Hymek D7076 had just been restored and looks brand new after just being painted in it's British Rail blue livery. There are not very many of this class of diesel anymore and at the moment this diesel is touring some of the other heritage railways. In this picture the Hymek is waiting for the signal so that it can take it's passengers to Heywood.
While the Type Four English Electric at the tail end - one diesel will be at the front [top] while another train will be at the end [tail] so they do not need to turn the train around when it gets to the end of the line...in this case the English Electric [and the diesel hauling the carriages] are on platform three and waiting for the signal so they can head for Rawtenstall.
