The Milky Way rises over some small mountains in Big Bend National Park. This shot was taken near the trail head near Grapevine Hills trail. After a long hike, we sat and waited for the Milky Way to show itself over the mountains. Big Bend is a magical place for catching Milky Ways on a clear night.

A Tinaja is a southwestern term used to describe a waterhole...usually below a waterfall. They provide needed water in an arid environment. The rock formations was pretty fascinating along the dry creek bed.
