Brains, The Rev James, Wales (The Reverend James Buckley)
4.5% an average cask beer, but one I would buy again.
Theakston, Best Bitter, England
3.8% a good average Yorkshire bitter.
8.8% deep ruby red with a very thin head, roasted malt and port aroma, complex taste of roast malt, toffee, coffee, almost sweet sherry, very festive, like a Christmas party in your mouth. Absolutely loved it, the commercial description says "Created in the thirties, Gordon Xmas initiated the tradition of Christmas brews" I wish they were all this good.
But remember, just because I thought it was fantastic doesn't mean everyone will like it but in my opinion, if you are going to try a Xmas beer it should be different from the norm and taste festive.

Music: Blue Moon sung by Billie Holliday (right-click and open in a new tab or window). Why? Because this is Blue Moon beer, which really is orange and unfiltered, and is usually served with a slice of orange. Yum!

OK, Here's the story... Occasionally I try to promote a photo among my contacts. But it may happen that some who usually visit are not stopping by. Maybe they have many other contacts, other things to do, or even -- gasp! -- lives outside of Flickr! So I visit one of their photos and say, "Hey, drop by my photostream for a beer sometime!".
And usually they do, but sometimes they show up and seem very disappointed that there is no beer. So today I wanted to keep my word...
Here is your beer! Cheers!
Well not really, I mainly drink canned beer as it takes up less space on my beer shelf, but I thought i would collect them to see the variety, I thought it was about a year but who's counting..

6 month old Orval Beer. Fuji X10 processed in Luminance HDR out of 3 Raw files.
This beer is great, especially between 6 month and a year old, straight from the cellar at 12°C. Excellent brewery.

Polish beer night (individual revues to follow), on a recent trip to London, Jonathan bought a stack of cheap Polish beers from the beer shop opposite their hotel and tonight was our first chance to sample them.
3.6%. amber colour with a thin head, malt aroma, and dry bitter malt taste.
Even though I prefer to drink bottled or draught beers and after much thought, I think this could possibly be the best mass produced canned beer in the world but it has to be this one, the original, not the smooth stuff, I do not like that one at all.

My Beer Can collection
Hoegaarden, Witbier, Belgium
5.0% good head, slight citrus aroma, nice citrusy though quite a thin tasting Witbier but very enjoyable, I like it a lot and it is usually reasonably priced. One of the best, even in cans.
In Belgium, cans cost more than bottles but you have to pay a refundable deposit on the bottles, so if I am bringing beer home to England it is cheaper to buy the cans.
Located in Biera Lake, Seema Malaka is mainly used for meditation and rest. It is part of the nearby Buddhist Gangaramaya Temple.
4.8% amber colour with a nice but thin head, malt aroma, caramel malt taste, liked it, was like a good English beer.
4.8% cloudy gold colour with no head, sweet fruity aroma, fairly sweet citrus taste, quite good.
