Female version of the Mountain Bluebird. She was a little more patient with me. The people of Bickleton, Washington are very fond of these birds.
As we arrived at the (deserted!) Bickleton rodeo site there was a sudden commotion, as we disturbed about 15 deer that had been hiding from the hot sun beneath one of the grandstands there.
We were so surprised it took a few precious moments to grab the camera!
