...cuz we love it e nóis guarda no heart.

Everyday - rain, snow or sunshine, this homeless man preaches the Bible near Times Square.

My son, pay attention to what I say;

turn your ear to my words.

Do not let them out of your sight,

keep them within your heart;

for they are life to those who find them

and health to one’s whole body.

Above all else, guard your heart,

for everything you do flows from it.

Keep your mouth free of perversity;

keep corrupt talk far from your lips.

Let your eyes look straight ahead;

fix your gaze directly before you.

Give careful thought to the[c] paths for your feet

and be steadfast in all your ways.

Do not turn to the right or the left;

keep your foot from evil.

[Proverbs 4:20-27 NIV]

5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

1. Like it or not, we are ALL sinners: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12 NLT)

2. The punishment for sin is death: When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)

3. Jesus is our only hope: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)

4. SALVATION is by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT)

5. Accept Jesus and receive eternal life: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT) And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12 NLT)

The Gospel According to John, Chapter 14, Verses 1-4

Jesus Christ is LORD.

Symmetry - Here is a few symmetrical facts for you about the Bible.

1)Psalm 118 is the middle chapter of the entire Bible?

2)Psalm 117,

before Psalm 118 is the shortest chapter in the Bible?

3)Psalm 119,

after Psalm 118 is the longest chapter in the Bible?

4)The Bible has 594 chapters before Psalm 118 and 594 chapters after Psalm 118?

5)If you add up all the chapters except Psalm 118, you get a total of 1188 chapters.

6)1188 or Psalm 118 verse 8 is the middle verse of the entire Bible?

Should the central verse not have a fairly important message?

"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man." - Psalm 118:8

Is this central verse not also the central theme of the entire Bible?

(Or for you legalists who look up Psalm 118 and find out it has 29 verses, perhaps verses 14 and 15 are the center of the Bible)

"The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous."

Psalm 118:14,15

As a trained and fervent economist, this (to me) is the *economic* equivalent of having a Bible signed by the Son of the Holy Father!

The Father being Ralph Elliott (of Elliot Wave Principal), and the son being Robert Prechter. Note that Prechter has moved well beyond just Elliott Wave and is the "Holy Father" in Socionomics.

As a derivatives trader I studied and implemented Elliot Wave in my trading decisions...I also bought and read Prechter's books throughout the years.

I was in a position to have some conversations with his firm last week and was sent a signed book for my effort!

Truly the pinnacle of my economic existence!

My sister, Alice, is fifth from the right in the back row of this photo of what I think is her Bible school in Great Bend, Kansas, in the late 1940s or early 1950s.

I was asked give a short talk about the Bible and the work of the Bibles Society to a youth group at the church of Christ the Lord in Broadfield.

I took along a variety of Bibles in English and other languages.

The hereios of the We're Here! group have paid a visit to the What I can't do without group today.

This copy of the Good News Bible belonged to my wife, we bought it in Brighton on Friday the 28th of October 1983
