As the sun dips behind the ridges of rural Portugal, a loyal companion wanders the winding paths, silhouetted in gold. The air is still, touched by pine and earth, carrying the quiet hum of evening. In this fleeting light, mountain and soul merge — a simple walk becomes a moment of pure presence.

who I follow since pretty long, both personally and as a fan of

Denis is my biggest fan of this particular concept. And he used it as his nickname when he started to show his artistic work here on Flickr : could I get a bigger honour!?

that it is better to be yourself, to be natural, open and true, instead of showing imitative or fake attitudes!
We're all human, and no-one is flawless, most of us do our very best, and that's all that matters; we don't need to pretend that we're perfect or like others, we need to be ourselves.
Originality is more valuable than being cheap copies of other people.
Surely Denis is to be considered an original human being! And he lives up to this motto, that he gladly adapted as his own! :)
As he loves life and creativity, and has a big heart, I believe these bright colours are very suitable for his personality too. TQM, Denisito!

Sometime recently, I uploaded a photo of a friend of mine signing the "Rachel's Challenge" banner at my school. Rachels Challenge is a beautiful program that really touched my life in so many ways. For those of you who dont know, Rachel Scott was the first victim of the Columbine Massacre back in 1999. She led an incredible life of helping others and seeing the light in a dark world. Shortly before her death, she wrote an essay titled "My Ethics, My Codes of Life". In this essay she explains her "codes of life" that she lives every day by.
Last saturday while taking pictures, I happened to notice this. Im not sure how, but this saying was written on the side of a train car. Seeing this inspired me to do what Rachel did, and to share my own "codes of life". My new set, titled "I Believe..." is all about this. "I Believe" is going to be my own Flickrnal (journal on Flickr) that I will use to explain to all of you just what my own codes of life are.
This is my first entry:
