Executed in ceramic in 2015. This series explores the different aspects of mental energy as well as physical strength. He sees the vibrant blue and the twisting form as the perfect embodiment of these attributes. The scale and vivid colour of the piece illustrate his technical skill and his application of coloured oxides directly into the clay demonstrates his encyclopaedic knowledge of the history of ceramics and glazing techniques. He is considered one of the most talented and adventurous ceramicists working today.
