Okay, the Beta 4 is a bit bigger than Minox's own MT35, but it does offer three auto settings and horizontal as well as vertical bounce.

Who are they? Where are they from? Not a clue. All we know is their names: ALPHA, BETA and GAGA.

So nice! I wonder if this is the same Beta I saw 'half-naked' months ago at the door of a garage.
It had 1979 plates from Santander (Cantabria).
The Friday before Easter, the girls at Doggy Day Care sent Beta home with a yellow feather attached to her collar. She sat nicely for me while I snapped a few portraits.
(If I say a word she recognizes--in this particular case, "treat"--she cocks her head to the left or the right.)

A brave decision to bring this out in heavy rain given this range's notorious reputation for rusting that ultimately killed the Lancia brand in the UK. I have always liked sporting estates such as this and the Scimitar GTE and it is a shame this body style has never really caught on.
Beta Pictoris is the second brightest star in the constellation Pictor. It is located 63.4 light years from our solar system and is significantly hotter, more massive and more luminous than our Sun. The Beta Pictoris system is very young, only 8-20 million years old although it is already in the main sequence stage of its evolution. Beta Pictoris is the title member of the Beta Pictoris moving group, an association of young stars which share the same motion through space and have the same age.
In November 2008, the European Southern Observatory (ESO) published a press release announcing that a planet orbiting Beta Pictoris may have been imaged.
Beta Pictoris shows an excess of infrared emission compared to normal stars of its type, which is caused by large quantities of dust near the star. Detailed observations reveal a large disk of dust and gas orbiting the star, which was the first debris disk to be imaged around another star. In addition to the presence of several planetesimal belts and cometary activity, there are indications that planets have formed within this disk and that the processes of planet formation may still be ongoing.

The photo of this Beta is so beautiful it is almost surreal so I took it to the extreme. I have been so inspired by this photograph that I am on my third drawing, which will be the realistic one.

Had another go with Jeremy Clarkson's '81 Beta Coupe today, this time using an actual screenshot from the Botswana Special. Much happier this time around.
It's probably obvious but the newer drawing is the bottom picture with the car turning!
I apparently heard that this Beta, despite basically being life-expired and knackered, is still out there? Oliver was adorable but the Beta won a place in my heart as well...it may have been a "problem child" as Jeremy said but it still made it across the spine of Africa..
The photo's been edited to make it stand out a bit more but still doesn't really do the drawings justice in my opinion.
