Tonight we have a couple of shots from my walk on the Cornish cliffs a couple of nights ago. This is my favourite place in the entire world, walking out from Polzeath to Pentire head.
These shots were an experiment in focussing on the foreground whilst keeping the background recognisable. Here we have the flowers in the middle ground in focus...

Russell Falls in Mount Field National Park, Tasmania.
This very pretty waterfall is situated almost at the entrance to Mount Field National Park.
Access is by a flat, 10 min wheelchair accessible path from the visitor centre.
Best viewed after heavy rain, the water fall is around 40m in height with two successive wedding-cake cascades. The base of the falls are surrounded by a delightful, ferny glade containing an excellent viewing platform. The catchment for the creek is quite modest and despite there being heavy rain two days before, the flow wasn't as heavy as I'd hoped. Even so, the thin veil makes for an attractive counterpoint to the cliffs and greenery.
This is not the best pic I took on the day - the best is on the phone but has terrible resolution. I'll be heading back one day soon to shoot it properly for a brooding mono I have in mind.
I also aim to do a Milky Way core pic from there in a few months!

just a quick shot before it gets scrapped. when the idea popped in my head it was very dark, sad even. art is filled with so much emotion. originaly when visioning this it was based off of a Japanese type setting. mostly complete with beautiful cherry blossom trees tucked away in a citytype community. A father takes his daughter to see her beloved mother who had passed away from a powerful earthquake. but the parts for what i saw theres no way I had it for such a scale. so I just wanted to say many thanks for all the comments n favs on the original pic. always means alot. This is not the best pic due to phone cam. another reason im at a set back due to I cant build to big cause i cant get good pics.(yet thats all i wanna do). owell..again many many thx everyone.
my best pic of the day! Walking on the sand towards the parking lot but something told me to go back up onto the rocks of the jetty and so glad I did! This gorgeous loon was all alone diving right next to rocks.
When u left i lost a part of me..
Its still so hard to belive..

Early August storm cells are usually non severe and with little to no precip. Though the dry air creates some of the best photographic scenarios you could ask for if you love clouds... especially storms in Nebraska.
I had the afternoon off and was ready for that afternoons chase. Camera in hand, and storms moving into northern Buffalo County from the northwest...I was ready to catch some incredible storm captures.
August has always been my month to capture some of my best pics. This set of captures was just the first of many to come!

This is the best pic of me i think that i could find. Im not a photo person i love taking photos of people but im not a person that should be in photos.
This is a pic of me and my uncle at x-mas one year.
Boozy freestyle in Brisbane with the Lak boys. Not the best pic as I finished in the dark but you get the idea. PS: the shapes in the fill aren't suppose to represent cracks but the light reflection through a pool of water.
Not the best pic but creativity running a tad low today so it’ll do. Tardis lit with iPhone screen then blue light distortion added using Lens Distortions app.

Can you tell for sure if he is facing more towards me, or the sunset? I can see it both ways.
The red fringe around parts of the mustang is not an aberration or related to processing. It was visible to the eye when the shot was taken, and a big part of the reason I chose to take it.
BTW, my 11 year old grandson got the best pics of this guy. Too bad you don't get to see his, but thanks for taking the time to view mine.

There are times when I look at pictures of Imogen and I see an old man in a dress. Then there’s this pic...I looked at this and I have to say I saw a stunning woman looking back at me. Maybe I’m dreaming, but I feel genuinely beautiful here. Such a mind-blowing feeling to have.

AAW-"First Week of the Year"
Last year and this year, one of the first explorations was Lake Ontario water birds. This year, these two Red-breasted Mergansers were where the Genesee River meets the lake, and were lovely models. WIT-not too much changed. Used LR for basic edits and to crop in a bit tighter.
*probably not the technically best pic of these two, but I liked having them both in the frame....and I had 4 minutes to submit a pic of them for the challenge ;)
