Our Street Art Festival drowned in rain. No officiel winner was chosen by the Jury, as several of the artists didn't have a decent chance to finished their image. This beautiful image was chosen as the best by the audience.

A little additional info....most of the drawings are made as 3D-drawings. The artist often make a pair of food prints to show us from were we have to look to get the right impression, but this year only a few did that, so you are quite challenged to get it right ...lol It's sometimes difficult to see with your eyes only, but a shot with a phone, tablet or a point to shot camera actually makes the best pics. It's the second time we've the International Street Art Festival and it will continue as yearly event. The paintings will normally lasts for about 3-4 months even with bad weather and daily walking on them etc, but this year we had so much rain while they were made, that they already are starting to look fairly worn out.

Not the best pic, but another lifer for us!

Not the best pic I have ever done ...But it was such a lovely morning I thought I would share. This is where I live On a November morning I am so thankful.

Russell Falls in Mount Field National Park, Tasmania.

This very pretty waterfall is situated almost at the entrance to Mount Field National Park.

Access is by a flat, 10 min wheelchair accessible path from the visitor centre.

Best viewed after heavy rain, the water fall is around 40m in height with two successive wedding-cake cascades. The base of the falls are surrounded by a delightful, ferny glade containing an excellent viewing platform. The catchment for the creek is quite modest and despite there being heavy rain two days before, the flow wasn't as heavy as I'd hoped. Even so, the thin veil makes for an attractive counterpoint to the cliffs and greenery.

This is not the best pic I took on the day - the best is on the phone but has terrible resolution. I'll be heading back one day soon to shoot it properly for a brooding mono I have in mind.

I also aim to do a Milky Way core pic from there in a few months!

Early August storm cells are usually non severe and with little to no precip. Though the dry air creates some of the best photographic scenarios you could ask for if you love clouds... especially storms in Nebraska.

I had the afternoon off and was ready for that afternoons chase. Camera in hand, and storms moving into northern Buffalo County from the northwest...I was ready to catch some incredible storm captures.

August has always been my month to capture some of my best pics. This set of captures was just the first of many to come!

Not the best pic I have taken with the new camera, but I am still learning the settings on it. 66790 trundles through the green Cheshire countryside with 4H33 1507 Small Heath Lafarge Gbrf to Hindlow Gbrf between Chelford and Alderley. Oddly, although this was running early, it was allowed out immediately in front of a northbound Pendolino. Monday 7th June 2021.

I was seriously late the game on this storm. But I was never out of the game. I had missed a few of the other tornados that afternoon in Northern Yuma County. Coming from south to north I had to position myself correctly. Chaser Convergence was also in full swing so there were not may open areas to choose from.

For best pics of a Tornado and to be safe about it a storm such as this was moving North by Northeast... strategically, you want to be to the south east, southwest for the best light... Behind the RFD (Rear Flank Downdraft) It's all about timing, and I honestly didn't think it would produce a tornado til it was well west of my location. That was going to be the wrong guess... Though when I went due north of Wray I had a good viewing point but not in the safest location as you see.

I got lucky this day as...In my opinion, I found a perfect view, looking due south southeast. I ended up on the northwest side of the rotation. Dangerous yes...but this will eventually give me one excellent view of this tornado and all her glory.

Staying as safe as I could I wouldn't bail till it was about a mile away then I would head north again to a safer / better viewing position.

Good morning everyone. Instead of a series on a selected bird that I usually post on Fridays I'm pleased to present my first of the year (FOTY) Ruby-throated Hummingbird (Archilochus colubris).

Not the best pic as far as clarity and sharpness due to the distance between me and the bird, and a severe crop. It was at least 30 - 35 feet away when I took this shot, but this female couldn't have picked a nicer spot to perch with a clean background so I couldn't resist taking a pic.

I know, 30 or more feet doesn't sound far, especially at a 630mm focal length. But keep in mind this bird is no bigger than your thumb so it's really a lot further than you want, or should be, when photographing one of these tiny birds.

Thank you for stopping by...and I hope you have a truly great day and first weekend of June.

Currently I have seen 3 kingfishers flying around island mere hide. Their are 5/6 sticks for the kingfisher to land on. This capture was the nearest and the day was dull but defo my best pic of this gorgeous bird.

just a quick shot before it gets scrapped. when the idea popped in my head it was very dark, sad even. art is filled with so much emotion. originaly when visioning this it was based off of a Japanese type setting. mostly complete with beautiful cherry blossom trees tucked away in a citytype community. A father takes his daughter to see her beloved mother who had passed away from a powerful earthquake. but the parts for what i saw theres no way I had it for such a scale. so I just wanted to say many thanks for all the comments n favs on the original pic. always means alot. This is not the best pic due to phone cam. another reason im at a set back due to I cant build to big cause i cant get good pics.(yet thats all i wanna do). owell..again many many thx everyone.

my best pic of the day! Walking on the sand towards the parking lot but something told me to go back up onto the rocks of the jetty and so glad I did! This gorgeous loon was all alone diving right next to rocks.

The weather was soo nice today!!

it was nice to finally take pics without freezing x]

i discoverd a new field, and i love it! i spent 1-2 hours over there. Unfortunatly almost all the pictures are crap :( turns out; i had my iso waaaay to high, i forgot to adjust it! grr ..

Photoshop helped me out though. This wasn't one of the best pics but.. i had to pick this one because all the others are wrong =[

so i'll go out there asap and re-shoot =]

And sorry that i haven't post anything of my world of fairytale failures set for so long, but i just don't have the time to do it properly. and i'm having a lack of creativity for it right now.. i do have a crazy idea but i don't know if i'll be able to get to that location.

Edit: Explored #7!! i've never been that high! thank you so much! =]

And this was my first night spotting-session ever!

Last update of 2022, so time for a collage of the best pics that I've posted over the last year.

The interest I have in my girl side seems to have gone through the roof, and I had way more dress ups this year than I think I’ve ever had before. After having pretty much the same look for years, I decided to change things up with different makeup and blonde hair. Making my lips look bigger, and darker eyes have made a difference, but I still want to experiment more with contouring.

Flickr does seem to be dying on its arse, so I gave Onlyfans a go. While it was financially lucrative, it really wasn’t for me, so I’m winding it down and will be back on here again posting more regularly.

Thank you so much to everyone that favorites and comments on my pics, I really do appreciate it.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year and an amazing 2023.

Last update of 2021, so time for a collage of the best pics that I've posted over the last year.

Hopefully 2022 will be better than 2021, although I'm sure I was just as hopeful for 2021 at the end of last year!

It was great to get out and about en femme again, and despite not having too many dress ups at home, I still managed to get plenty of new pics done.

My big hope for next year is that life will return to normal for us all... it's been a tough couple of years already. I might even be able to take a trip back to England some time to see friends again.

Wishing everyone a fabulous and prosperous New Year.

Series of five. For once this Longtailed Tit was an obliging model. A little flock was foraging in a low bush and allowed me to get some of the best pics of one that I have managed so far.

...not the best pic due to the over exposed flowers, but I wanted to post this pic to show the iridescent blue-black abdomen, which is rarely visible when this moth is feeding or perched.

The Yellow-collared Scape Moth is widespread in North America, including the southeastern part of the United States, where Virginia Ctenucha is absent.

Habitat includes abandoned fields with wildflowers as adults are commonly seen visiting flowers during the day, but they also fly at night and are attracted to light.

The Yellow-collared Scape Moth is one of several species of day-flying moths called "wasp moths". These moths are quite small with a wing span of only 5/8 inch (approximately 1.5 cm.) Adults have dark brown-bronze forewings, an orange collar that is occasionally yellow; a black thorax and abdomen with blue iridescence; and is sometimes confused with the Virginia Ctenucha and Grapeleaf Skeletonizer.

Season for the adults is from May to October or until first hard frost. Larvae feed on grasses, lichens, and spike-rushes. Adults feed on goldenrod and other small nectar bearing flowers such as Boneset and Asters.

Greetings Everyone, I haven't posted many new pics since last chase season and the 2020 Severe Weather Season is upon us. Looking for our first set of storms in the coming weeks and I'll be streaming live and of course some of the best storm photography one could ask for.

2020 Update...I've been revamping how I do things. One of those things is to go back and correct how I did my post processing of images. Several Years of over Colorizing over Saturation Adding color... etc. Yes I'm guilty of doing so and I have been going back and replacing thousands of images in hundreds of sets over these past few months here on Flickr my Fine Arts America Site.

The May 7, 2016 Colorado Tornado Event was by far one of my favorite chase days to date. I was able to capture the full genesis of a tornado. From birth to death. It was a quest of mine to do this in a photography medium. Epic severe weather structure, like once in a lifetime structure to capture. But post processing was a nightmare. The images came out well ... Defined but over colored over saturated etc.

Instead of replacing the images this will be a whole new set with a few hundred new images that I didn't post on the original set back in 2016. I've thought about re-editing these images for a long time and they are finally done. No Altercations what so ever. No Added Light, Color, Contrast.

I've brought them directly from RAW. Simply the way I should have done it in the first place!

Last update of 2018, so time for a collage of the best pics that I've posted over the last year.

There have been some pretty tough times for me in my real world in the last year, but thankfully things are starting to look up. My girl side is always a welcome distraction, and although I don't dress up as much as I used to, I still love having a girly day when I can.

What really has rejuvenated my girl side was starting to go out again after giving it a miss for over a year. A couple of fabulous nights out to BNO and a welcome return to Torture Garden have been truly amazing, and it's been great to catch up with so many old friends and making some lovely new friends on the way too.

Thank you again to everyone that leaves comments or favourites my pics, it really is appreciated :)

I'm really looking forward to 2019, and wishing you all a Happy New Year.
