This years BEST of 2022, still going with what would be the hardest of my favorites to duplicate, I had a couple of still life shots I loved but could easily duplicate them, I had one of my most viewed photos this year over 300,000 views but still this one would be the hardest to duplicate...Stepping Out of the Bath, with the bokeh in background. A Sliders Sunday post photo fix.
This fix took the bird from a silhouette to details in the wet feathers and color...altering a photo can be a good thing.
This week's them for Mosaic Montage Monday was Best Of 2022. I can't believe it's this time of year again already! In 2022, I can say I've really enjoyed using some vintage lenses and will continue into the new year. I also have so many archives now, hopefully I can post more in 2023. Hope you are enjoying the Holiday Season and all the best to you for 2023! HMMM!
Bempton, Yorkshire
The highlight of my birdwatching year was our spring break in Yorkshire to catch up with this visitor from the South Atlantic that returned to Bempton on 30 March 2022 and was resident on and off until the start of August. Without question, my Bird of the Year and I really hope it has escaped the dreadful Avian Flu that has ravaged our seabirds this year.
I hope 2023 will bring respite to the birds and our wildlife in general as well as those people still suffering from barbarous aggression. May your own New Year be filled with peace, prosperity and wonderful photographs. As always your comments throughout the year have been much appreciated. Happy 2023!

The Trashure mural shows a jumping woman in a dress made of waste. Makers Kaspar van Leek and Niels van Swaemen (from Eindhoven) of Studio Giftig in Veldhoven actually had a woman pose for this. The mural can be seen on the facade of the CVB ecologistics in Tilburg, which gave the artists a full carte blanche for this work of art. For the design, the artist duo used waste materials from the process of this recycling company that reuses paper, plastic and textiles.

Makers Kaspar van Leek en Niels van Swaemen (uit Eindhoven) van Studio Giftig in Veldhoven lieten hiervoor echt een vrouw poseren. De mural is te zien op de gevel van het CVB ecologistics in Tilburg, dat de kunstenaars een volledig carte blanche gaf voor het dit kunstwerk. Voor het ontwerp gebruikte het artiestenduo afvalstoffen afkomstig uit het proces van dit recyclingbedrijf dat papier, plastic en textiel hergebruikt.

Last update of 2022, so time for a collage of the best pics that I've posted over the last year.
The interest I have in my girl side seems to have gone through the roof, and I had way more dress ups this year than I think I’ve ever had before. After having pretty much the same look for years, I decided to change things up with different makeup and blonde hair. Making my lips look bigger, and darker eyes have made a difference, but I still want to experiment more with contouring.
Flickr does seem to be dying on its arse, so I gave Onlyfans a go. While it was financially lucrative, it really wasn’t for me, so I’m winding it down and will be back on here again posting more regularly.
Thank you so much to everyone that favorites and comments on my pics, I really do appreciate it.

Desert Dazzler turned out to be one of my favorite versions of Poppy Parker ever produced. I really love this doll! Each year Christopher Banks released ornament sweaters that fit dolls and I allow myself to purchase a couple when they go on sale for 50% off. Christmas Day in front of a Gene Christmas tree is a great way to wish all my friends the merriest of Christmases!

In 2022, I spent a little more time exploring the urban microfauna. I was also an instructor at BugShot Ecuador 2022 and had lots of lifers from the Amazon and cloud forests. I also resumed some workshops in the field, while most of my lectures were still conducted online. All in all, I found myself playing around more with my wide-angle relay system for the most unique perspectives. Read more
Amid all the gloom and doom of this year, there was also pure joy.
One of these moments was to see these four young mountain climbers from Kabul reunited in Germany.
Many of you contributed to making Shogufa's (the young woman in blue) escape possible. She now lives in Berlin with her family and has accompanied a trekking expedition to Mt. Everest's base camp earlier this year. For months, she took care of her handicapped little sister all by herself before her parents also made it to Germany. She wants to train as a nurse.
Saeeda on the left managed to get her German license as a Taekwondo instructor recently and volunteers for a pro-refugee organisation.
Neki (in green) plays soccer in TWO Berlin clubs and like her friends, is learning German fast.
Mariam (in red and black) whose birthday this was lives in southern Germany with her younger sister and is accomplishing the giant task of feeding her remaining family of five in Kabul by not allowing herself any luxuries like candy or new clothes while teaching yoga and volunteering as a climbing instructor.
All of them are missing their homes and friends, and feel survivors' guitl for leaving family and friends behind.
But they are ALIVE, and can study, and build a new life here.

This time, last year my mother, has already been in, and out,of the hospital, with one surgery, later on another ..
So It was good, to see this precious smile ..
She, is more than better, we all have escaped covid, we have been blessed, far beyond measure ..
All Seven GREAT Children are healthy, and so full of life ...

God Has been so good to us ...

I daresay there is at least one Rainbow High/Shadow High doll on many fellow collectors' shelves. In a year when high-end doll producers are unable to get product into collectors' hands, MGA was able to offer a little something for everyone. They recognized market opportunity and seized it. Whether you needed a cute quick fix for less than $30 (and many of these mainline edition dolls hit sales bins for as little $10 or less) or wanted something a little more luxurious like Paris Hilton, Lily Cheng, or Maria Garcia, you could walk away with a deep sense of satisfaction.
My #4 of 2022 goes to MGA for availability, affordability, and playability. The doll I chose to represent this line was my personal favorite from 2022, Lily Cheng. To my surprise, it was the doll I actually asked for under my Christmas tree this year.
