PRESS L (BIG ON BLACK) - PRESS F (IF YOU LIKE IT)Adoro le dominanti dell' illuminazione artificiale,ma solo quando ti permettono di creare qualcosa di suggestivo; aumentato solo il contrasto.
i love the simple graphic quality and the way the gull appears to be bowing down before his master. They werent actually that close, it was just the angle i was at.
Shot into the sun, zoomed in from quite far away, the only one that was anywhere near being in focus!
I thought it made a nice companion for the cows, and again, it isnt a big sky shot! :)
Marianna spoke english, french and spanish and we sat together in English Lit. In one of her art classes, Marianna had made 2 casts with gauze, plaster of paris and 2 straws.

After the 4th of July the crowds go back home and within two weeks the locals have slightly windy and chilly but sunny weather with lots of elbow room.

Two children and an adult. This is a pioneer family burial plot in Western Kansas. Nothing exist anymore. The last burial was in 1901. Medium size natural unmarked stones also mark these three graves. Out of respect for the family of the deceased and so this site doesn't get trampled by human activity I will not give the location of this burial site or the family name. Geo tag is not accurate for this reason. One child and two adults are buried here.

This is Ampelman, the traffic light "walk" symbol from the former East Berlin. Post reunification, he has become a bit of a cult figure - as is evidenced by this little figurine of him. What is it? A bottle opener!

Added to Cream of the Crop as my most Interesting photo.

Camera/Shot Info:
• Canon EOS350/Rebel XT
• Lens: Canon EFs 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens
• Aperture Priority Mode (for depth of field effect, aperture was as wide as possible)
• 0.5sec exposure at f/5.6, focal length 85mm (macro mode), ISO200
• Map and figure were set up on a low table. Camera was tripod mounted with remote trigger. Light was natural light through a window and a white energy saving standing room lamp set up to left of shot. File was saved as Camera RAW in order to be able to edit the white point of the image, although this proved to be unnecessary in the end. I took about 10 slightly different versions of the shot and decided upon this as the best. Minimal retouching to remove some bits of dirt that I hadn't cleaned off the bottle opener.
