A very early start to capture the sunrise over Winnats Pass in the Peak District, absolutely stunning an well worth the effort!
Winnats Pass is a hill pass and limestone gorge in the Peak District of Derbyshire, England. It lies to the west of the village of Castleton, in the National Trust's High Peak Estate and the High Peak borough of Derbyshire. The road winds through a cleft, surrounded by high limestone ridges. The pass was once thought to have originated as a giant collapsed cavern, however, a more recent explanation is that it was a ravine between the coral reefs that originally formed the limestone.

Clear skies and no moon is time to get your flask ready and set your alarm for silly o'clock!!! Even though there was plenty of others with the same idea on this night it was still worth the effort with the amazing dark skies of the Dorset coast!

This is The most photographed tree in the Lake District - The lone tree at Buttermere - seems too delicate to survive in such an exposed location.
This very colourful sunrise is caused by the high concentration of Sahara sand in the atmosphere above our small country.
After a day of cloud I was expecting a little more action in the sky for my visit to the lone tree at Malham, the clouds completely cleared leaving me to focus more on the sunburst and the light bouncing off the rock! Will be going back one day to try for a little more movement!
