I took this at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 using an older Canon point and shoot. I shot in AP and the camera could only shoot jpeg. I edited them by using a preset in an app called Koloro. Then I played with the exposure, contrast, highlights and shadows. I did not edit any color except to add luminence to the light blue.
It was quite foggy the other day as well as cold and rainy. It persisted for most of the day. This shows the Ben Franklin Bridge which connects the city of Philadelphia with Camden in New Jersey. The pier to the right in the photo is the Race Street Pier which had been made into a great park for all to enjoy.

This past weekend was dreary and rainy and not conducive to bird or nature photography. So, I decided to take a quick trip down to Race Street Pier and do a B&W long exposure. It has been awhile since I intentionally went out with the purpose of creating a monochrome image. This shot is looking out from the end of the Race Street Pier on the Philadelphia side of the Delaware River to the Camden, NJ waterfront. Not sure that this is exactly what I envisioned, but I think that it turned out rather nicely. Best viewed large ~
Thanks for all the views, comments, and favs. Enjoy the day ~!
Pier 9 or the Cherry Street Pier stands next to the Ben Franklin Bridge. Newly opened for public uses as Philadelphia continues to move forward with development of it's waterfront as a benefit for the people. If only New Jersey could try to learn from this.....
I decided to do some night photography last evening on the Camden Waterfront. The goal was to capture fireworks over the Ben Franklin Bridge in celebration of July 4th. Unfortunately, the fireworks were not in the middle of the river as they had been on prior nights. Rather they were being launched from land on the NJ side of the Delaware River. No good, and no firework shots. At the end of the display I decided to take this long exposure of the Philadelphia skyline. The air was thick with smoke from the fireworks and it gave quite a nice effect. View large for best experience.
Something a little different to start the short work week. Thank you for stopping by ~!

Another in the Dirty Window Series. Hoping to release one a week for now -- until I forget or everyone loses interest…including me. ;)
I processed this (or more likely, started to process and never finished) and others like it long ago, hopeful it is pleasing to more eyes than not.

One of the hundreds of shots from the train I accumulated last spring/summer. Here the setting sun fades into the west between the Bell Atlantic Building (or whatever it is named this week) and the Comcast Center.
