I went to Ikea in search of a new bed frame and ended up buying linen and a lamp instead. I don't really need a new frame, but I've had my eye on this one for forever. I get my ass motivated, drive aaaaaaaaaaall the way down there and they're out of stock, "check back this weekend." Lovely. But, I've gotten quite a few things done on my last two days off so I suppose that makes up for it.
London still feels forever away, and those minutes are stacking up! It's pretty amazing how a simple phone call can turn so much around. I keep telling myself I'm patient-which, for the most part I am. So to keep myself busy I cleaned my entire kitchen, bought new linen and rearranged my bedroom. Did I mention nothing really beats new linen?

A collection of fluff (yes, fluff!) in an old lab bottle. The bottle is 2.5 inches tall and used to contain Carmine. I hope the grain of the desk helps give some idea of scale.

Youre never too old to make a snowman, and a 3 year old cousin visiting is the perfect excuse you can use if someone starts questioning your maturity.
Things did get a bit complicated when we tried to figure out where the bellybutton would go, and a few other bits of anatomy.
Too bad about the skinny arms.....
Now my old, trusty, Canon 20D sits on a tripod hooked up to a timer; quietly staring at that snowman out the window, opening it's shutter every 20 minutes to record the untimely death of that tall and handsome stranger sitting outside our house, sweating it's small and large stuff in the pouring rain.
