Mit einem Stahlzug war die 155 015 auf der Rheinstrecke bei Bad Bellingen auf dem Weg nach Weil am Rhein zu sehen.
The Gleniffer valley is located approximately 12 kms north west of Bellingen on the mid north coast of NSW. The valley was originally settled in 1863 and the area was named Gleniffer by early settler John McFadyen as it reminding him of his home near the Gleniffer Braes to the south of Paisley, Scotland ("brae" is the Scots word for hill).
Within the Gleniffer valley are the local areas of Gleniffer, Promised Land, Tallowood Point and Gordonville. The Never Never River with its headwaters in the Dorrigo National Park flows through the valley.
My paternal grandparents were early settlers at Promised Land, they farmed in the district, my father and I were born in Bellingen. In 2012 I made a nostalgic visit to the district and had to have a photo of this sign complete with a Kookaburra.
Zon en sneeuw - dat was het moment om toch even ergens te gaan foto's te maken, pijnlijke rug of niet (ik ben er zaterdag namelijk doorgegaan bij het leegmaken van de vaatwasser).
Zo trok ik omstreeks half twee even tot aan het voormalige station van Beert-Bellingen, waar ik deze combinatie van twee duikbrilletjes op foto kreeg. Beide stellen zijn hier onderweg als S5 van Mechelen naar Edingen en moeten nog een paar minuten sporen vooraleer hun eindbestemming bereikt te hebben.

Two EMU's AM86 are seen here on a sunny winter's day at the former station of Beert-Bellingen. Thier next stop will be Edingen/Enghien, terminus of this S5 service.
And the train was running on time, in fact I believe SNCB/NMBS delivers a good service in this winter weather.

On a vacation earlier this year we stayed at an Airbnb out in the countryside near Bellingen. The house was surrounded by introduced Pine trees, and the Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo‘s visited daily to feast on the pine nuts.
Yellow-tailed black cockatoos feed together in small to large flocks, on seeds from native species of Hakea, Banksia and Casuarina, as well as introduced pine species.
They also eat wood-boring insect larvae, and it was fascinating to watch them stripping bits of loose bark away to expose the Larvae.
Silverpiercer 193 108 mit Wappen Bielersee konnte am 23.06.2023 mit Zug 40252 bei Bad Bellingen aufgelauert werden.
Der Startschuss für die Flixtrain Züge an die Schweizer Grenze ist am 23.06.2022 gefallen. Die neue Verbindung von Basel badischer Bahnhof nach Berlin verkehrt dabei über die alte Rheinschiene und kommt morgens bei Bad Bellingen im besten Licht. Derzeit verweilen im Umlauf die zwei Tauri 182 510 und 523. Am 10. Juni 2022 war es die Werbe-Tauri Beethoven, die den Flixtrain ab Basel bespannte.
Flixtrain 1246 von Basel badischer Bahnhof nach Berlin verkehrte am 11.07.2022 mit 182 523 durch Bad Bellingen.
Dorrigo National Park is close to the edge of the escarpment above the Bellingen Valley and is a World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforest.
Visiting Dorrigo N.P. after some decent rain - the waterfalls are thundering and the forest is at its most green and lively - walking on a misty day, when the low hanging cloud drifts into the forest is quite magical.

A large cockatoo native to the south-east of Australia. It has a short crest on the top of its head. Its plumage is mostly brownish black and it has prominent yellow cheek patches and a yellow tail band. The body feathers are edged with yellow giving a scalloped appearance.

La Br 151 084 de TrainLog a reçu une livrée spéciale et unique. Elle est en tête d'un train de pétrole reliant Basel Bad GB à Speyer Hbf et traverse le vignoble de Bad Bellingen. Le train passe par l'ancienne ligne et en voie banalisée en raison de travaux sur la Rheintalbahn, réduisant à une voie unique entre Rheinweiler et Müllheim.
La composition du train est assez atypique pour le souligner, toutes les entreprises de location de wagons citernes pétrolier y sont représentés et bien mélangés ; plusieurs GATX, quatre VTG, deux Millet, un Wascosa, deux ERR et un Ermewa !
Der Goldpiercer alias 193 110 im Sonderdesign der SBB Cargo International konnte am 23 August 2023 bei Bad Bellingen angetroffen werden. Die von Railpool gemietete Vectron beförderte die Last 40280 ab Basel über die alte Rheinschiene bis nach Rotterdam.
Am 09.03.24 war ich eigentlich auf dem Weg nach Bad Honnef. Doch dann kam eine tolle Meldung über eine Fuhre mit einer V100. Also ab in den Westerwald!
Ich stellte mich in Bellingen an das Vorsignal von Langenhahn. Es dauerte eine Weile, aber nach einer Wartezeit mit Spaziergängern und Radfahrern, die auch auf die 212 warteten, klickte der Auslöser.
