Her name is Ember and she is a fantastic dog. My brother Doug and Ember visited us for almost a week and George and I spent a lot of quality time with Ember while Doug did a lot of sightseeing. Ember is a larger-than-life type of dog who both fascinated us and wore us out. She's a 7 year old Belgian Malinois from the Netherlands who has zero interest in other dogs and LOVES people. She thinks she's a 60 pound lap dog. This photo was taken in Titusville along the Delaware River right near Washington's Crossing.
So, this beautiful dog took lots of my "Flickr time" 2 weeks ago and then I spent last week recovering from her visit. I miss her and Doug and now that I'm all rested up, would love another visit with them!

oh if I were younger and in better shape I would love to have one of these wonderful Dogs.
If you are unfamiliar with these dogs watch some YouTube videos about them and I promise, you will be amazed.
ps. regarding the last image I posted called "Train Wreck",. I posted the image just to show one of my screwups and then it gets posted in "EXPLORE".
I love "EXPLORE" and view those images everyday., but how they decided to put in my last image is beyond me. I know it is done automatically without people picking the images but jeez, not that image of mine, please.
Met this young lady when out with Mick what an amazing dog it only had eyes for her master and her ball any other dog or person may aswell not exist an amazing bond for a young pup. Her owner was an ex army that had knowledge of the breed and boy did it show!! as agile as a lurcher as clever and loyal as a border collie just an amazing breed of dog !!
The smart, confident, and versatile Belgian Malinois is a world-class worker who forges an unbreakable bond with his human partner. To deny a Mal activity and the pleasure of your company is to deprive him of his very reasons for being. Belgian Malinois are squarely built, proud, and alert herders standing 22 to 26 inches. Strong and well-muscled, but more elegant than bulky, there's an honest, no-frills look about them, as befit dogs built to work hard.

Rockstar is a new addition to our family. He is a rescued Belgian Malinois, 4 months old, still barking his head off, biting, nipping.... sometimes behaving like an angel!
Separation from mother, adjusting to shelter life and then to Foster's homestead and to my adopted family; a puppy's life is tough!
I have been running after him for the past few weeks. Hoping to get stabilized soon :))
Many thanks to all those who view, fav or comment my pictures. It is much appreciated.
A puppy has to learn a lot, both puppy ways and human ways!
Many thanks to all those who view, fav or comment my pictures. I very much appreciate it.
This did not really turn out the way I wanted it to but I haven't taken any shots in so long that I gave up after just like 4 or 5 tries. For Photogamer: Take a photo of a cartoon. Upload it to the group. Live the dream.
Fancy is looking at the classic New Yorker cartoon by Peter Steiner (on the internet no one knows you are a dog)
I had a hard time picking this week's photo. Perhaps I'm just way too in love with my dog, and therefore think that *every* photo is just way too adorable simply because she's in it ;)
Obligatory Evey-in-flowers photo. She's pretty.
If you're in northern Colorado, USA, I offer pet photography & photo retouching through Soul Dog Studios. Give me a shout!
DiscDog Action!! :-)
Strobist info: two bare strobes, one on left, one on the right, pretty symmetrical. Both set to 1/8, triggered optically.
Used my Ricoh GR instead of the reflex, since the Ricoh syncs at insane speed compared to the 1/250 limit of the reflex. This is great for action shots!
