this 'beigel' place is near me and reflects how this used to be a jewish hood. there's always a line outside it like this even tho there's another 'beigel' place two doors down that's exactly the same but all the tourist books i guess tell ppl to go here cause the suckers wait in line instead of getting fed in 2minutes and with the same quality beigel.

The salt beef sandwiches at Nana Fanny's are filled generously with slow-cooked, buttery soft Irish brisket, cured for several days in a secret family brine. Served hot on a beige (bagel), hero bread or original rye bread, topped with thick-cut pickles and strong English mustard they are served optionally as a reuben with sauerkraut and flame-melted Swiss raclette.
Nana Fanny’s, a fourth-generation family business started from a barrow on Brick Lane in 1944 by Fanny Lester, has been serving East End Jewish street food across London markets for nearly eight decades. They found a permanent home at Borough Market around 2012–2014, and are now run by Andrew Lester. Best known for hot salt beef sandwiches, Nana Fanny’s also favorites like latkes, schnitzel, falafel, and salads, with breads and bagels sourced from their own Moishe’s Bagelry & Bakery in the market.
