One of my all time favorite songs. I can remember being all of 4 years old and dancing to this whenever it came on :)
I took this image a while back while we were all waiting for the St. paddy's day parade to start. I saw this man across the street standing there like this. I liked his suit so much that I asked him if it would be OK for me to take his picture. He had a smile that wouldn't end.
In the future, this man will be wandering Flickr looking for photos with a unique use of the color green. He wishes you nothing but happiness and many green days to come!
I've been carrying the idea for this photo shoot around in my head for quite awhile now. This afternoon I decided to go ahead and give it a try before it (the idea) completely escaped my memory, as so many other things seem to have done.
The setup for this turned out to be quite simple. It was shot on a black topped desk in my living room, with a piece of black posterboard stood up behind the box. When I first had the idea, I wasn't quite sure how I was going to be able to place the cow (which, because of how it is made, has to be drapped over something) at a proper height, but I just happened to have the cow-patterned cardboard box on my closet shelf, and bingo... it was the perfect height. The only lighting was the natural light coming through my window and open front door.
The whole thing, start to finish, only took about a half hour. Other than the crop and addition of the frame, this is straight out of the camera.
It just seemed like a good day for a smile. Hope I've managed to give you one.
And now, heat wave vs plants, I need to get out in my yard and do some watering before everything withers away.

Gazania, or treasure flower, is a South African annual flower that likes hot, dry summers. Flowers are white, pink, bronze, red, yellow, and orange with banded markings. Flowers close on cloudy days.

I couldn’t resist making some more ATCs for the challenge! It's been raining here most of the week but that's ok as it's been bone dry all year and we really need the rain.
I am getting tired of all the negativity here--everyone has a right to whine/ complain....but can we stop already? If you don't want to be here---then go. I know I'm going to lose a lot of contacts....that makes me sad. But I'll be here if you decide to come back. Smile and be happy!--Life is too short.
