For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

*Working Towards a Better World
Looking back, there is nothing wrong with that peace, love and equality that the hippies espoused. In many ways, we have regressed because they were into organic food, back to nature, make love not war, be good to all men, share and share alike - which is what many are talking about now. -

An oldie of our dear departed pet, Elliott.
Gave him a pair of specs, now he can see better.

mind you, this is another one of my long ass stories. i like to call these people the invisible people. the people we walk right by like they aren't humans too, like they don't breathe, starve, and sleep like we do. a lot of people ask me why I do this, "it's not your fault they are homeless." well, yeah it's not. but am I also human? this is a former soldier, army for 6 years, who after loosing his own mother and brother, knew what it felt like for those others who he had taken the lives off. while dealing with depression he decided to go abscond from all family in hope off getting his mind back in a good place and starting life over. shit happens man, if I ever, for whatever reason end up homeless would I want some damn help? i stopped for a few minutes and asked him if had anything to eat today and not surprisingly the answer was a no. as much as I was craving chipotle the whole day, I knew It was a no-brainer. i had food at home, I had a home I could go to, a bed I can lay on, a mom to go home too. he didn't. decided to buy him a box of pizza, some water and a few snacks. though having no money left on me, the feeling was rewarding. happy holidays, from my new friend and i.
i don’t blame you if you don’t read this it’s quite long. if you judge people you have no time to love them. recently just had a wonderful experience that thought me a lot. he asks me as I’m walking down the street “any spare change?” of course i right away contributed and offered them food. i asked him for a favor; i asked him “what’s your story?” we talk for about 20 minutes and what stood out to me was at the end he stands up and says, “take his fucking job man. change this shit, change this fucked up world, you have the power to. i may look like a homeless man but I’m more at peace with myself than 90% of the people I see here everyday. do what you love, this world is yours, it’s all yours and don’t let no fucking person tell you it’s not, change this shit.” I cherish moments like this. #PeaceIsAStateOfMind
You don't want to be my boyfriend
And that's probably for the best
Because that gets messy
And you'll hurt me
Or I'll disappear
A comic postcard that depicts "modern" technology—a gramaphone or phonograph circa 1910—along with outdated notions about nagging wives and carousing husbands.
This is a postcard addressed on the other side to Benj. Wolfe, N. Front St., Steelton, Penna., and postmarked in Baltimore, Md., May 28, 1910.
Handwritten message: "I am in Baltimore to spend a few days. Am well and happy. How is everybody up there? I like it in York very much. R. H. Albright, 120 N. George, York, Penna."
Advice to Young Men Before Marriage!
Get an extra strong gramaphone to lecture you for coming home late. It will "break you in."
Sound from gramaphone: What do you mean by coming home at this time, etc. You etc., etc.
Motto on wall: Be Good.
