One flower bursts into vibrant pink, streaked with magenta like a sunrise caught in motion. Around it, the petals of yesterday curl and fade, their time already spent. This is the orchid tree’s quiet truth: the beginning and the end share the same branch.
In this close-up, life cycles whisper through color and texture a fresh bloom, fading glory, and the promise that tomorrow’s beauty is already waiting in the wings.
My latest photography is now available for purchase at crsimages.pixels.com/, featuring prints, framed art, and more from my curated collections—though this one might be just for those who find meaning in the moment between bloom and wilt.
Yesterday brought the beginning, tomorrow brings the end, and somewhere in the middle we became the best of friends. ~Author Unknown
My diary was used all through last year, and the camera is what I will be watching this year through. The goals are listed for the year ahead; 12 books piled up for the one per month, the rose representing the garden and the watch and apple for the exercise and healthy food. A reminder for myself for the rest of the year.
Are you too busy with the chores of daily living and obligations to so many important temporal necessities, material, physical, emotional, psychological, in your and your important others and relatives' lives that you do not make time to contemplate, worry over, plan for the ETERNAL future of all mankind and yourself.
What can one do about that? Changing ETERNITY is not my job, right?
How about changing the place you will be spending all eternity in? Now each of us have time to work on that here on earth daily before death. Today, a friend had me answer these questions:
1. How different would be your life if you lived as if today were your last?
2. When was the last time you reflected upon how truly blessed your life is?
3. Is being driven in some area of your life preventing you from being the person that God wills you to be?
As this steam provider, please personally discern and then make a good detailed answer to each of those beautiful inquiries, even if you keep your answers your own secret, unshared with others. Answer the questions, for you will be much better off for doing so, even if your last New Year's Resolution was to have no resolutions this year.
Both extremes of 44 very happy years "On the buses." First picture taken late 1957 in Castle Lane Ilkley - the Daimler CWA6/Park Royal is one or the batch of 100 new to London Transport's Sutton depot in 1946 of which 22 were bought by Samuel Ledgard in 1953/4. The other picture is taken during my last few days before retiring in 2001. Piccadilly York, about to leave for Selby and Goole when helping out at Arriva's Selby depot which I often happily did although based at Pontefract. Volvo 685 was brand new at the time and they were fabulous buses, although without the same vintage "magic" as the Daimler in the other photo.

Dante wrote, "In his will is our peace."
The command "Be ye perfect ..." does not enjoin us to strive for a flawless performance in the various tasks of life, but to do them as God wills us. We feel driven to do an A+ job on projects in which we have overinvested our egos. But doing God's will often demands the courage to do a C+ job because God bids us to spend our time and energy on other tasks.
There is an unhealthy striving for perfection which psychologists call perfectionism. Perfectionism is the state of being driven to achieve a standard of perfection in an area of life that is fueled by either the fear of failure or the need for approval. This unhealthy striving is not the type of perfection to which God calls us.

my mom, taken the night we arrived in Maui. We took her there to release my dad's ashes into the water behind Molokini crater. I love this picture because it reminds me of what's behind, and ahead for her.

The leftmost shot was taken in the morning, the other two in the evening.
The name of thiis sculpture acknowledges Prestatyn as the point of departure or arrival for the Offa’s Dyke Path National Trail.
Walkers starting their journey in Presatyn will see the sculpture against the eastern sky, a metaphor for sunrise and the start of their journey. Those finishing in Prestatyn will experience the sculpture in the western sky, a metaphor for sunset, and the end of their journey.
It is made from stainless steel, desiigned by Craig and Mary Matthews who are partners in Camm Design.

I liked the way the finished flowers shared the branch with the flowers which had yet to open. Also how the finished flowers looked like little balls of tangled string. Might be a mimosa tree. Not sure. Bright red flowers, but the similar look to the pink mimosa I've encountered before.
Second weaving attempt, Opal sock yarn as the warp and Fiesta Boomerang salsa as the weft. I finally got the selvedges looking pretty good... at the END.
Stop what you're doing for a moment. Then reflect on this truth: If you've received His free gift of salvation, you know The Alpha and The Omega...The One Who was, Who is and Who always has been, personally!
_
He loves you and knows you by name...and He knows your past, present, and future!
_
Knowing these truth, should you seek and consult Him all the more?!
_
He is ultimately The One Who spoke all things into existence and holds all things together...so hold onto Him with all that is within you!
_
He alone is The Alpha and Omega, The Almighty God! He alone is The King of King and Lord of Lords...so remember this in the good and the troubling times!
