Once cut, the branches are pulled from the field and stacked for later chipping by County Park staff. Bush honeysuckle decays quite slowly. Also, through sheer mass of cut branches would prevent anything "good" from growing in its place.

The 18 oz. Coverene PVC fabric doesn't drape particularly well, and makes you doubt whether it can really conform to a kayak hull. I knew there was no way I could skin the hull in the recommended, upside-down position, but began this way to get the material positioned, and snugged up a bit with some makeshift lacing.

Menachem Begin Park is a vast open park named after former Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin. The park is also known as the Southern Park because of because it is located southern part of Tel Aviv. There is a lake and a petting zoo there.
This is my first attempt at surrealism and is a painting that I did as part of an ongoing project to create a dragon calendar with each month representing a different art style. In my photostream you will see other styles of dragon paintings that will also be a part of this collection. The paintbrush and feather are real on the original yet were made to be a part of the piece.

Tomororrow is the auspicious day of Gudi Padva. Gudi Padwa is celebrated on the first day of the Chaitra month, and is celebrated as New Years day by Maharashtrians. This festival is supposed to mark the beginning of Vasant or spring. According to the Gregorian calendar this would fall sometime at the end of March and the beginning of April. According to the Brahma Purana, this is the day on which Brahma created the world after the deluge and time began to tick from this day forth. This is one of the 3 and a half days in the Hindu Lunar calendar, whose every moment is considered auspicious.
While the people of Maharashtra use the term Gudi Padwa for this festival, the people of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka term the same festival, observed on the same day, Ugadi.
