I thought these two were cute looking for some treats down at the beach.

This coyote was standing on the side of the Glacier View road in Yosemite National Park. It was not waiting for the traffic to clear as it crossed the road, but rather was begging for food. Some people must have fed it in the past, so it realized that it could procure its daily meal by looking pitiful around people. The park service explicit discourages feeding the wild animals for a number of reasons, it is a threat to their survival, and obviously creates potential hazardous interactions with people.

Hoewel we er niet heel veel van troffen tijdens onze week (behalve dan losse locs of van/aan de verkeerde kant) is het leukste nog wel de kleinere vervoerders die door grote delen van het land met interessante treinen in de weer zijn. Nadat we tijdens het eten een Speno met een V160 misten, waren we wel weer op tijd terug op de muur voor deze G1205 van de Bocholter Eisenbahn Gesellschaft (BEG) met een spoorkraan.

Nous voici à la pointe du raz pendant les grandes marées du week end dernier.

Je tenais à jouer avec ce rocher pyramidal et les falaises depuis un certain temps mais la forte houle à chaque fois m'en a empêché.

Lors du coucher du soleil, les vagues n'étaient pas très intenses et m'ont permis de jouer avec leurs mouvements sur les rochers éclairés par les derniers rayons lumineux.

Et dire que je ne voulais pas sortir car je ne sentais pas la météo ... merci Nico de m'avoir un peu poussé :).

Je ne sais pas si vous avez regardé Thalassa hier mais c'est une excellente balade le long des côtes françaises au rythme des grandes marées ... À regarder sans modération !

I didn't expect to meet a swan as far out on the ocean as I did on Easter Saturday. It wanted some of our bread, while we were waiting for sea eagles to photograph.

She was ringed and called K059, and the information I found showed that it is a female that was ringed together with her mate and 8 young ones nearby 4 months earlier. But this day she came by herself. She was seen together with only one of the young ones 5 months later and seemed to move to several neighboring municipalities the coming year.
