"beetroot bath"

Learned: Water-self-portraits are so not easy.

But laying in a mix of water, soy milk and beetroot juice was an interesting and fun experience :)

Does anyone have experience with beetroot juice? It has been a day so far and the exposed areas haven't faded yet, unlike turmeric and paprika which fades within hours. I'm guessing that it may be a few weeks.

Not 100% sure what this is, double exposure ?, the film was soaked in the juice from beetroot, exposed then processed in long expired and exhausted ORWO color C5168 chemistry.

Red carrot juice is one of my most selling stock images and time after again I try to do retakes of this when this carrot is in season.

Yes, beetroot juice! It's an acquired taste but once you acquire it..... Good for the immune system, the heart & the lungs.

But beware - it makes you pee pink!! ;)

Tenuous Link: red stuff in a glass

This image was made using beetroot juice and a digital negative. The image was of my good friend Julija Svetlova and was made at the London Pinhole Festival using a 4x5 plate camera. The original was not by me but one was taken of me as well.

Anyway, this has been contact printed and left out in the awful weather for at least three weeks, not everyday was good and most were dull days, so this is why it took so long.

This image has been autocorrected on scan, just so you can see it more clearly.

Might just be me, but that's what I see..! (Also it's the only photo I took on this very rainy day, so it'll have to do.)

Did the appraisals for both of the people I line manage today - went well, but glad it's done for another year. Had a good work day, getting stuff cleared which is always pleasing. No walk today - too busy, but also too rainy!

Coway's Juicepresso juicer conveniently make several servings without stopping, can make just about any juice desired and extracts much more juice than traditional juicers.

Plate art - salad eaten, beetroot juice and olive oil left

This is what my plate looked like after eating all the good stuff. The red beetroot played a big part here.

Winter wonderland. Nothing better than coming home after a walk in the snow and warm up with a soup like this beetroot soup. The earthy and sugary beets are contrasted with fierce horseradish and tangy kefir flavors. Enjoy the whiteness!

Ingredients: small 15 min oven steamed beetroot, fermented beetroot juice (alternatively vegetable broth), blanched soaked almonds, water kefir or plant milk kefir (alternatively yogurt), garlic, salt

1 - Peel beetroot and puree with with fermented beetroot juice. Adjust consistency with the juice.

2 - Puree almonds, horseradish, garlic, kefir, and salt into a creamy paste. Adjust consistency with kefir or almond soaking water.

and tea and beetroot juice at the Nordic Bakery. Fresh out of the oven, so a bit too warm if anything, but very nice, although I suspect candace would agree with the "too sweet" verdict. Personally I don't believe anything can be too sweet.

Here are some ways to make your lips pink in a short time:

-

Lemon Juice

The first solution is your homemade lemon juice and a little sugar. Cut a thin slice of lemon and sprinkle a little sugar on top. Rub your lips with this mixture every day. As you continue doing this, you will notice the results.

Moisturize Your Lips

Your lips have a small amount of sebum compared to your skin. If you want your lips to always look fresh, beautiful, and pink, you should keep them moisturized. Petroleum jelly or lip balm is enough. Remember, moisture is essential for soft and pink lips. Don't let your lips dry out.
