Lots to do in the garden right now and the bees are joining in!! My tomatoes are ripening (a joyous treat) along with a variety of peppers and squash. Keeping it all watered is a it of a chore but one I relish for those peaceful moments it provides.

at the Cereus Inn ..

nectar for bees ...

fragrance & beauty for humans ..

this Cereus grows out of the spines of a cactus ..

usually blooms at 10pm EDT ..

lasts about half of the next day, then reverses the unfolding process..

no Dragon Fruit this year..

maybe next...

over 15 of these beauties from June to November !

maybe I should fertilize it ...

Night Blooming Cereus, the morning after an opening show, displays still more beauty lin the light of day.. including her Purple Heart sisters..

this is the path I'm on in the pitch black of night when the Cereus begin their show..
