I think it’s a hoverfly not a bee, I believe they only have two wings where bees and wasps have four. I can only make out two in this photo. Not as sharp as I’d have liked, even though it was a lovely warm sunny day there was still a breeze, enough to play havoc with close up shots.

I love Bees, I think they are one of Mother Natures greatest creatures and truly contribute to the earth around us in so many ways. A remarkable insect.
This was taken on Saturday, the sun finally came out to play so I set the tripod up and waited. What I love about this shot is the eyes or even the expression on the bee which kind of shows the excitement and joy bees get from this world. We could learn a lot about "giving" from bees.
