Gerne habe ich die Einladung angenommen. So viel Gastfreundschaft! Die Frauen feiern in einem separaten Zelt, so ist das im Mittleren Osten. Die Männer tanzen und singen den ganzen Abend lang, es gibt MANSAF, das Nationalgericht mit Reis, Lamm und Yoghurtsauce, Kaffee und Tee, und Shishas zum Rauchen. Zu meinem Glück war am Abend auch Khalid da, der Englischlehrer von Azraq. Er machte mich mit dem 105 Jahre alten Stammesältesten bekannt, erzählte von der Struktur der Sippe, und dass der Boss sein Vermögen mit Handel und Schmuggel im Dreiländereck Iraq - Syrien - Jordanien gemacht habe. Es sei normal, dass vermögende Beduinen mit 3 bis 4 Frauen bis 20 oder mehr Kinder hätten, so seien sie untereinander alle verwandt, Onkels oder Cousins oder Neffen. Meine Fuji Kamera war sehr gefragt, alle wollten ein Porträt haben von sich, oder mit ihrem besten Freund zusammen. Einige fotografierten es ungeduldig mit ihrem Smartphone vom Screen meiner Kamera. Die bearbeiteten Fotos wird Khalid dann im Stamm an die Porträtierten weiterleiten. Was für ein Privileg, an diesem Fest teilzunehmen - ganz herzlichen Dank!
El Batallón de Reconocimiento de Beduinos del Desierto (hebreo: הגדס”ר הבדואי, ‘Hagadsar Habedoui’) cuenta entre sus líneas principalmente con beduinos y además algunos árabes israelíes que no son beduinos, pero que tienen en común la lengua árabe. Estos soldados cumplen a la perfección con su papel, gracias a que se desenvuelven perfectamente en el desierto y en la región. El batallón ha participado en todos los conflictos importantes en la franja de Gaza. La admisión en esta unidad es totalmente voluntaria.

Questa tenerissima bimba è una beduina di uno sperduto villaggio che abbiamo trovato durante una escursione nel deserto in Egitto. Non mi ha mollato per un attimo e continuava a seguirmi.
On the way out of Wadi Rum we had the opportunity to ride camels the last few kilometers. As contrived as it may have been, it was a special opportunity. After a while some of my overly stretched muscles got me thinking about the very knowledgable and skilled Beduins who travelled these harsh lands for so many years.

This belly dancer was an extremely good dancer. She danced for us and others a warm evening in the desert of Dubai.

Faiz Rahman lebt als Beduine mit seinen fünf Kindern in Khirbet Zanuta, einem palästinensischen Dorf im Gouvernement Hebron im südlichen Westjordanland, 20 Kilometer südlich von der Stadt Hebron entfernt. Seine Frau ist Englischlehrerin. Die Familie wird von der Caritas unterstützt.

Dal 1946 la Giordania e' un reame e viene incoronato Abdallah. La Gran Bretagna dal 15 maggio 1948 decide di mettere fine al suo mandato su questo territorio e di evacuare la Palestina. La vigilia Ben Gourion aveva proclamato la nascita dello Stato di Israele. Gli Stati arabi, il 15 maggio decidono la guerra e cinque armate arabe penetrano in Palestina. La guerra dei 38 giorni vede Israele allargare i propri territori conquistando citta' e villaggi costringendo gli abitanti all'esilio. Tra febbraio e luglio 1949, Libano, Siria, Egitto e Giordania firmano un trattato per l'Armistizio con Israele.
Ad Amman come in tutta la Giordania la presenza degli inglesi ha lasciato un segno, tutti o quasi parlano perfettamente l'inglese, le strade sono ordiante, illuminate, larghe, un traffico molto ordinato rispetto rispetto ad altri paesi del Medio Oriente. Le case sono molto belle, tutte con facciate in pietra (imposto per decreto reale ai costruttori), pochi grattacieli. Paese tranquillo, poco inquinato
