...trading spaces, 1/2

sometimes it's quieter up here in my room.

marina will go from the living room to her bedroom to my bedroom. and back again.

jones can't jump up on our bed anymore, sometimes he lets me pick him up and put him next to chai, but sometimes he is too independent and he'll jump up on the end of the couch, it's lower. there are blankies and a pillow.

sometimes boo sleeps on the couch. and other times she sleeps with me. same with nellie, who's learning it's okay to be on the big bed.

they all now share space on the couch up here. they didn't use to.

desperate times. small bits of chaos.

in our house, there is always a flurry of shifting dogs.

And then she whispered in his ear, "Happily ever after, The End."

I went for a walk down the road. Hubs called me and said I had gone the wrong way. He was stacking hay bales, and this fawn and its mother were not the least bit concerned about the tractor driving around them. So, I walked to the fence, stood on the high-lift of the tractor, Hubs lifted me over the fence. Then I hid behind a round bale snapping photos, but I don't think I really needed to hide, as the two whitetails didn't seem to mind my presence.

This is our eleventh straight night in a hotel. And yes, you are reading the clock properly, but in a small hotel room, it is almost always bedtime! We are close to Carlsbad Caverns, so I am checking the tour times next for tomorrow.

Sethi was alone at home this morning and when I checked on him I found him in bed. I told him a story and swear it was a nice one and although he looks as if it was a horror story. The horrifying part was probably that I had the camera with me.

I'm trying to take more photos of Cleo and Sethi these days because my photostream is too dominated by Linus and Fynn. The tabbies are more difficult photomodels, though, often rather unwilling and both in hibernation mode which means that right now I can only take photos of them indoors where it's far too dark.

Thank you Burly, for reading me a bedtime story =-)

I thought all those things ended with everyone living happily ever after.
