i'm sorry that i missed you.
i'm sorry that i missed you.
when there's no one there to greet you,
i'm sorry that i missed you.
you're always chasing after deer.
oh my dear,
oh my dear.
and through the meadow i can hear my fears.
oh, my fears.
be brave, love life.

HBW !
I would like to think that I am a very social person...but I fear the phone...cold calling should be called "cold and clammy hand" calling for me. I am trying hard to overcome that fear...but when I am sitting at my desk, even confirming appointments (reading from a script) the phone looms large...and my mouth feels like it is filled with cotton balls!!!
It is only my second HBW...another fear of mine, I am trying to overcome...I guess it all comes down to fear of rejection...?

Approximately 22 500 cases of domestic abuse are reported in Sweden each year. It is thought that only 20% of the true number of cases are actually reported to the police.
In 1995 I ended up in the ER, today I was told that a friend of mine, that I used to be collegues with, was taken to hospital last night.
I was lucky, I got out of it, I hope my friend will too. I believe she will.
About 16 Swedish women this year won't though. They will be killed.
I don't think the statistics are much different in your countries.
Watch out for your friends and your family, listen to your gut feeling if you think something is wrong. Never ever "leave people alone to mind their own business". If someone close to you suddenly seems more distant and cuts off social ties, ask questions even if it's uncomfortable, and keep watching even if the answer is that everything's ok. Be a nuisance, don't give up on them. Keep asking, keep them close.
And men can also be victims of domestic abuse.
And many others not to be forgotten:

Do these monsters not realise there is NO place in this country for them. If you'd like to join me I'll gladly travel to Wootton Bassett to confront these terrorist sympathisers. It's time for action!
I'm not expecting a call or the attendance in support from:

They have the nerve to include the UK as part of their name too!!

The Hard Rock Cafe Denver hosted a concert to honor late Denver Actors Fund President Brenda Billings on May 10. Cast members from shows directed by Billings re-gathered to sing songs from those shows. Family members also participated, some of whom came all the way back from New York for the occasion. The event raised $3,814 for the Denver Actors Fund, which will be applied toward our first-ever matching donation - a $10,000 gift that puts the non-profit over the $100,000 mark in total funds raised in less than three years. In addition, the concert raised $2,414 for Miners Alley Playhouse, where Billings was Artistic Director. The donor's hope was that friends of Brenda Billings will donate a matching $10,000 in her honor. Here's how to help: www.coloradogives.org/BrendaBillingsMemorialMatch.
