This image was taken from the shore of Derwentwater in the English Lake District, it shows the island in the lake backed by Catbells lit up by the sun.
This is the lone tree at Rydal Water in Cumbria. I've visited it many times when mist was forecast, but it never happened. During my recent break in the Lake District, it finally did. Mist is needed to separate the tree from the background.
the wonderful national park known simply as YOSEMITE. After 2 weeks of non stop action, I was leaving the park when this happened. I am blown away at raw power of this great park.
As the days flow like a raging river. I am still longing to be near you. Yosemite please don't forget my love for you... I will be back
This is Twr Mawr Lighthouse, which is situated on Llanddwyn Island, a magical place which lies off the the coast of the Island of Angelsey in North Wales. Llanddwyn is only an island twice a day when the high tide separates it from it's larger neighbour
Twr Mawr was built in 1845 to guide ships to Bangor through the Menai Straits, which separates Anglesey from the mainland. The lighthouse has now been decommissioned and an older lighthouse nearby has been fitted with a modern lighting system.
I don't care--- what you do...I would want to be like you- Alan Parsons Project
Unlike the lyrics -
I am so glad that Mirror Lake is just like it's surroundings. Beautiful!!!!!!!
If you have a bucket list or a strong desire to see beauty beyond words...travel here, leave not a trace, take only memories from it's boundaries they will last a lifetime.... YOSEMITE National Park!
Valley View - Yosemite:
I can't put the right words together to say what this park did to me...., or even come close to explaining it's beauty. GO SEE IT!
The light is so very tricky here.

The morning mist rises from the winding Urubamba River, which lies below the crevice in the front of the picture. And when the mist clears around noon, all is revealed. The site is around 8000ft above sea level, and originally there were nearly 200 buildings, perched on parallel terraces carved into the mountain. Among other things the site was known to be used for residential, agricultural, religious, and ceremonial purposes. The extensive plumbing and irrigation system still works.
Built around 1450, the site was vacated for reasons unknown, probably in 1572. and there exists no evidence that the Conquistadors ever went there.
I could spend my whole life in this valley and still would never capture all the beauty. From Tunnel View as a winter storm releases its grip EL Cap comes into view #seetheworld #getoffthecouch
Going back through the 8,000 photos I took. Man I miss it. Yosemite how do you have such a hold on my dreams??????
RAW power of the landscape is beyond beauty. Someone asked "Can you imagine what it was like when it was still entirely wild?"...What a great question to ponder.
When I think of Yosemite this song comes to mind:
And I know she'll be the death of me, at least we'll both be numb
And she'll always get the best of me, the worst is yet to come
But at least we'll both be beautiful and stay forever young
This I know, (yeah) this I know
She told me, "Don't worry about it"
She told me, "Don't worry no more"
We both knew we can't go without it
She told me you'll never be in love oh oh oooh
I can't feel my face when I'm with you, but I love it, but I love it!!!!

One of the best sunsets from Yosemite. This photo is taken facing east as the sun sets in the west...
Mirror Lake oh yeah!
Mirror Lake is a small, seasonal lake located on Tenaya Creek in Yosemite National Park. Situated in Tenaya Canyon directly between North Dome and Half Dome, it is the last remnant of a large glacial lake that once filled most of Yosemite Valley at the end of the last Ice Age, and is close to disappearing due to sediment accumulation.
See it before it is gone!
This is my local hill at Crank in St Helens. I took the opportunity before the snow was forecast to disappear to record my local tree. It was bitterly cold (-5C) but I was well wrapped up!
I must take the time out to thank one person who made my time in Yosemite even more special "Nancy Robbins". I feel I made a real friend in her. Nancy is a professional photographer in every aspect. I learned so much from her, I someday hope to have half the talent she has.
Nancy thank you so much for everything! I see things much differently now and am going to chase my dreams! www.robbinsphotography.com/
