This shot, and a bunch of others on this night, Oct 24 got overshadowed by a couple of evening of Eagles in the Grand River. I only try to post one photo a day Mon-Fri and sometimes it is hard to choose as I like to mix things up a bit and not post a few shots of the same thing in a row.

St Brides Haven below St Brides Church.

A rocky and sandy beach that is sheltered from the prevailing winds and a favourite with divers.

Plenty of rock pools will keep budding explorers happy for hours.

Next to the beach is St Brides church but the whole bay is dominated by the 19th-century baronial residence of St Brides Castle. It’s now a HPB self-catering complex.

If you’re planning to visit, check out the tide times to make sure you’ve plenty of beach to play on and that you don’t get cut off by the incoming tide!

St Brides Bay (Welsh: Bae Sain Ffraid) is a bay in western Pembrokeshire, West Wales.

Either Skomer Island or the mainland extremity of Wooltack Point at the western end of the Marloes Peninsula marks the southern limit of the bay whilst its northern limit is marked by Ramsey Island off St David's Head. The mouth of the bay is about 7 miles (11 km) wide and extends some 10 miles (16 km) eastwards from this line.
