Looking through the stately fence to view the beautiful homes on the shores of Lake Florence, Winter Haven, Florida - Polk County.

One of the many sunrises I have taken on the way to our morning workout at the YMCA

Schönes Wochenende allerseits - wer Sonne hat, mag sie genießen... sie ist dieser Tage ein rares Gut!

This is what is called a "French Canadian Style" house and they always have slanted roofs and dormer windows, with usually stone outside walls. I have always admired these homes and they are usually well kept and probably expensive.

NB: Again my Group Award ICONS are wiped out. Why? Is it an accident by someone or is it deliberate? This is happening to several of my photos.

This beautiful French Canadian Style house sat on a section of roads converging and thus there were so many street signs around it. It kind of spoiled the beautiful view of this lovely home.

Watch Hill, Westerly, Rhode Island - USA

This charming home is located on the edge of Dow's Lake, which is part of the neighbourhood of the Glebe. The Rideau Canal runs through this area and it includes parks and the most expensive houses of Ottawa.

Cette charmante demeure est située au bord du lac Dow, qui fait partie du quartier du Glebe. Le canal Rideau traverse ce secteur et on y trouve des parcs et les maisons les plus chères d'Ottawa.

Another one of the big old beautiful homes on Rivermont Avenue in the historic district of Lynchburg, Virginia. With all of the huge old trees on the property this was the best angle I could get on it.

Looks inviting, doesn't it? Another beautiful Springfield home...

Back in Yakima WA tonight, which is only notable because I started here this morning with a delivery. Then went to Longview WA to pick up 7 large paper rolls and back to Yakima to deliver tomorrow at noon. Anyway, the good news is I have a few hours tonight and a few in the morning to spend on Flickr. I have such a backlog of pictures ready to post, but finding it difficult to decide what to post.

Going with this picture I took near the Hamma Hamma River in Washington. You may recall the picture I posted of the tidal flats, well this is another view further up the road and across. I loved the white house and at one point I noticed it's reflection, so I walked around until I found a spot with the best view of both. Still have a few more pics from that stop to post sometime in the future.

Enough yacking, time to post this and go see what you've all been posting.

The natural brick wall capping darkens with age giving the impression of an old world style custom retreat.

This home was constructed in 1886 for Edward Tracy Hollingsworth. It was purchased in 1901 by Dr. and Mrs. Charles L. Gunn. It remained in their family until 1990. Dr. Gunn's daughter, Carolyn Gunn Bellinger bequeathed the home to the City of Gadsden upon her death in 1990.

Placed on NRHP Feb. 19, 1993---No. 93000052.

The Flintstone house, Hillsborough, San Mateo County, California. This imaginative house and yard are on view while driving north on I–280. I try to get a shot off each time I drive (or am driven) by. It's a beautiful home and a lovely yard. The home was built in 1976.

Now, for the geologic purists, would one ever see a T-Rex, a Triceratops, and a Brontosaurus near a woolly mammoth and a giraffe, let alone King Kong (to the left of the tree, behind the wall and above the giraffe)—absolutely not. My comment on all this is—Thank you, landowner, for sharing this exquisite scene.

One of the lovely designed houses in the Lincolnshire village of Blankney, just look at those windows the summer terrace at the front.

"Castle on the Hill", located on Skinner Butte, is a Victorian-era residence that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is named for the three families who called it home over the years.

The Queen Anne-styled house, built in 1888 for T. W. Shelton, was designed by Salem, Oregon architect Walter D. Pugh. It has undergone several modifications, including an enlargement in the 1910s for Robert McMurphey, and a remodel by Curtis and Eva Johnson in 1951 which restored its original turret.

We have friends with a house on Thetis Island (not this one) who are kind enough to have offered to let us and our visiting kids & grand-kids stay there for a few days. No internet or phone reception, so I'll be away from Flickr for a few days. Try not to feel too sorry for me, eh? (!)

I took this photo on a dull overcast day in San Francisco. Regardless of the weather the Painted Ladies always hold their beauty.

This is the house that sits at the opening of the addition where I live. Their landscaping probably cost as much as my home but, I do think it's one of the most beautiful homes in my townl

Textures by Kerstin Frank. Best viewed large and on black. Thanks everyone for stopping by!

Another view of some of the houses in the village of Blankney in Lincolnshire - with their good looks and exceedinglly tall chimneys

Another beautiful bungalow in Montreal suburb and looking at the little Patio outside it seemed ready for lunch or afternoon coffee. A figure can be seen just inside the home, maybe wondering why I snapped this shot. I liked the front gardens and the ornaments on the table outside and the comfy chairs! Montrealers really take care of their homes and gardens.
