Lagoa de Óbidos is located in west of Portugal (near 100 km from Lisbon), side by side with the basin of the Atlantic Ocean where is also the Foz do Arelho beach, developed since back to the 16th century, and, as far as it can be remembered, was always a seasonal vacation resort.
There you can choose between swimming and sailing in the calm warm waters of the salt water lagoon, or surf and swim in the colder waters of the Atlantic ocean.
