This is Junior's mom...and a very itchy bear. Beary Itchy?
I do not share exact locations. Our wildlife should be protected and when locations are shared these animals are put at risk. This is especially true with Black Bears. When bears are reported to authorities or MNR they are often shot even if they have done nothing and should not have been deemed a nuisance bear. In addition Ontario brought back the Spring Bear Hunt a couple of years ago and unfortunately it looks like it will continue. Please do not ask. Any comments "outing" the locations will be deleted....

A cub in the tree. Sort of a bear version of "time out". Mom was sleeping at the bottom of the tree while the cubs slept and then bothered each other in the branches. From last week in Yellowstone. Too cute. I hope they can keep these guys safe and that the can make it to be adults.
Remember the reason for the season.

PADDY: “How can you know that, Scout?”
SCOUT: “Ahem!” *Clears throat.* “Dolly and I both ded… deduc… worked out who it was, Paddy!” *Looks at Dolly indignantly.*
PADDY: “Oh, sorry Dolly.”
SCOUT: “Dolly says that it’s alright, Paddy. We forgive you.”
PADDY: “Oh thank you, Scout and Dolly. But Scout, I still don’t understand how you... and Dolly... know that it was Goldilocks who broke the chair.”
SCOUT: “Well, it stands to reason doesn’t it Paddy? Who else do we know of who deliberately breaks chairs? You would never break a chair, would you Paddy?”
PADDY: “No, of course not, Scout!”
SCOUT: “And Dolly and I would never break a chair, would we Paddy?”
PADDY: “Indeed no, Scout!”
SCOUT: “And no other bear would, would they Paddy?”
PADDY: “Certainly not, Scout!”
SCOUT: “And Daddy wouldn’t, would he Paddy?”
PADDY: “Most definitely not, Scout!”
SCOUT: “So, it stands to reason that there is only one culprit left!” *Crinkles up muzzle in disdain.* “It has to have been that no-good-home-wrecking-break-and-enter Goldilocks, Paddy! Just ask the wee Baby Bear, Paddy. That no-good-home-wrecking-break-and-enter Goldilocks broke into the Three Bears’ house, ate all the wee Baby Bear’s porridge, slept in his bed without taking off her shoes, and worst of all, she broke his chair! Naughty no-good-home-wrecking-break-and-enter Goldilocks!” *Nods seriously.*
My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.
He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.
Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.
I was outside playing in the snow when I found this crystal orb and a polar bear!
