Sneaky photo of a Male Beardie peeking through the rushes at me at Cley Marsh NR, Cley Next The Sea this morning on quite a bright but blustery morning :-)
Walking along the riverbank at Strumpshaw this morning I thought I heard a beardie. Sat and waited and after several wrens left a small group of reeds near the pumphouse she pinged up and on her own she grazed a while on the reedtops
Was lucky to get a lot of shots in September and October - so apologies for posting more, but it is one of my very favourite birds.
Got fed up trying to catch one up in the reeds at Westhay, so popped over to Greylake. A complete nightmare in the wind...
Titchwell RSPB male Beardie having a good feed up in the reed bed, this chap was part of a gang of about 20 on Sunday all feeding profusely on the seed and not taking much notice of anything else.
Don't zoom in, but not too bad in 35mph gusts.
Many thanks to all who comment, fave or just enjoy looking, it really is very much appreciated!
This Bearded reedling did not look pleased when i spotted him through the reeds this morning. Several pairs of these along the river today though they were staying low in pairs, Wont be long before they are making their nests :-)

Taken at the end of Jan this year, but similiar frosty conditions as now. Hopefully will have a chance to get some more shots of the Bearded Tits feeding on the top of the reeds this Christmas.
One from before the world went mad.

Proper Beardie morning this morning, The reeds were pinging along the whole riverbank with multiple groups of 20-30 birds taking flight at times.
The Norfolk population must now be at its highest for several years. This bird rose so close I had to step back to take his picture :-)
