Witnessing a meteor for the first time ever has been an amazing experience that I still wonder about. While shooting for the milkyway, this streak of fireball came out of nowhere and swept across the milkyway for more than a second. I was staring at it jaw dropped in disbelief. This picture in no way does justice to what I witnessed that night. Nevertheless, I post this to keep in my collection and memories. This is a special one.

Life has been different ever since I started astrophotography and journaling. They seemed to give me a tiny sense of fulfillment in a life that is hard to find. They provide a rare opportunity to understand who I really am although the answer is still fuzzy I must admit. I hope they give me more peace of mind and make me into a better person with time.

This one is at Maryland dove, Historic St. Mary’s City. I first found this spot on Flickr and was fascinated with this foreground and its been on my mind to visit this spot ever since. But once I reached there, I was disappointed to see the lights near the boat that weren’t present in the pic I saw. However, I backed myself to do my best and not worry about the outcome. My initial pictures seemed like May is a little early for this place for astrophotography. This composition has milkyway on the left and the boat on the right most side. This is the best composition I could come up with despite the debris and water body on my right. With the lights in foreground and not so satisfying composition, I shifted my focus instead onto the foreground and the final outcome isn’t half bad. Its ironic that the lights which I firstly thought to be a disturbance, indeed turned out to be helpful by adding beauty to the boat! Perspective it is! One of the most invaluable experiences one can gain.
