Trying out something new each time has been my thing and this time I wanted to experiment with my new Sigma 50mm f1.4 lens. I stopped down the aperture to f2.2 to remove the star fringing affects and the details in the milkyway are stunning. However, a 50mm seems like a tight composite and a panorama might have helped here. Something to remember for the next time.
Also, I experimented with my new MSM wedge with which I am able to do a perfect polar alignment for a tracked image. I believe I am finding my way in using a star tracker which will add a new dimension to my astrophotography. I certainly wish to capture more and more tracked images with time.
