Biarritz is a city on the Bay of Biscay, on the Atlantic coast in the in southwestern France. It is a luxurious seaside town and is popular with tourists and surfers.
Images from the old Hotel Lacayo in the small beachtown Poneloya in the department León, Nicaragua, CA. I took these images in 2010 and the hotel was torn down in 2012.

As I approached a colony of seagulls on the beach close to dusk just after the setting sun has dropped down below the horizon they took offense to my intrusion, many of them took to the air and scattered like marbles dropped on the kitchen floor.

South Church Street in downtown Fairhope Alabama at the Fairhope Avenue Crosswalk. A live oak tree hangs over the street. Parking spaces on both side of the street are almost full. Shoppers, tourist, and residence enjoy this quintessential American town along Mobile Bay.

using a fully automatic, fixed lens Canon in those days. At the time I was very impressed with the image quality. Still looks very good.
Fortunately, we look very patient in this photo. We had to wait for our Explore selection and were the last photo recognized at #500 on 22 Aug 2023.
A fresh edit of a shot from 2018, on a hot and hazy late summer evening at New Hampshire's version of the New Jersey shore. The light just says it all. I have wondered, ever since then, what the couple on the left were arguing about.
