There is a lot to see and do at Botanical Beach, if you like beachcombing, this is the place for you.
One of the early attempts to restore Boston to Cape Cod seasonal service over the former New Haven network of lines was the Cape Cod & Hyannis Beachcomber service between Braintree and Hyannis. Additionally, the railroad ran a shuttle between the Northeast Corridor at Attleboro MA, near the Rhode Island state line, and Hyannis via Taunton, Middleborough and Buzzards Bay. Here on 15 July 1988 we see CC&H GP9 No. 1353 and its consist of Shoreliner cars venture out onto the mainline to pick up passengers at the station. Then the train will back onto the Old Colony lines again for the trip to the Cape.

Earlier in the morning the rain was coming down pretty hard. About mid day, when this shot was taken, the sun started peeking through the dramatic storm clouds. The family and I were lucky enough to be out on the beach to capture this dramatic image.

It was a very low Spring tide, and the detectorists were out in force yesterday. The day after a hot Bank Holiday weekend can yield rich pickings !
Free at last , I'm free at last … OK it was not that bad in the colorless universe … but it could not be forever.
After finishing in the office I had to got to the airport ( major client ) for another change over but I had 2.5 hours , camera bag with 10kg+ of stuff , tripod and 16Gb memory card. Did I ever mentioned that we have parks … more than 2 .
I was planing on shooting at Iona Beach but never made it there – just found something new on the way.
This park is very close to the airport - Woods Island Park sometimes called McDonald Beach .
By the way I don't think I ever watched full episode of The Beachcombers (Canadian comedy – drama that run on TV from 72-90)
Just to let you know this is handhold 3-image HDR, for all who didn't try... try, I'm addicted . There is a lot of freedom in HDR , some people don't like some over done HDR but please remember HDR gives you power but how you use it that is your decision ( or a problem )
