Clients order: Lady Portrait with Dog. The female dog "Jule" is getting famous these days, because she is to be watched on TV (RTL) the comming Thursday in a criminal series (Cobra11). Lady Bea teached her specific manners which both have shown me in Colognes Park "Grüngürtel" yesterday. I took 187 pics in 3 hours, most of them should be of keen interest by dog holders. But this one, taken in a quiet moment I like best. It shows the intensive harmony between both... Cologne, Germany, 31 of August 2009.
It was the first time, I used textures on a professional image order. Different to my art work, I used it here very very soft, but I think it works!
The fantastic textures by courtesy of my friend Jerry "Skeletal Mess" [USA 2009].

This photo is also taken close to Nakatsu station, there are various locations there, and it's kind of interesting downtown area!
Model: Bea
Little Bea had planned to go skateboarding with friends but found herself in the midst of a sudden rainstorm.
As she huddled against one of the brick buildings that lined the city street, she thought about how much--even though she loved the city--she wished she could be somewhere in nature, amid trees, birds, plants, and an endless blue sky...to escape the man-made cityscape to be in a natural environment....
At times like this, she felt like the lyrics expressed in Joni Mitchell's "Song to a Seagull::
"...I came to the city
And lived like old Crusoe
On an island of noise
In a cobblestone sea
And the beaches were concrete
And the stars paid a light bill
And the blossoms hung false
On their store window trees
My dreams with the seagulls fly
Out of reach
Out of cry
Out of thе city
And down to the seaside
To sun on my shouldеrs
And wind in my hair
But sandcastles crumble
And hunger is human
And humans are hungry
For worlds they can't share..."

I finally got around working with my Saberstrips using them as mains and not just as rimlights. Both are pushed in really close, right outside the frame, left and right with equal values. I am still impressed what a beautiful face and a little bit of strobe makes for a difference. Glad I don't have to photograph my ugly mug all the time any longer - which makes setup and shooting so much easier too.
