Doc and I awoke to a beautiful crisp morning, with the outside temperature settled in at 37 degrees F. Doc decided it was a good morning to once again tackle our huge winters supply of wood - by splitting and stacking as much as he could by lunchtime. By the time we got around to sitting down to eat - it was well after one o'clock in the afternoon. With that in mind - we then refer to our late lunch, as "linner".
Big meaty ribs - mashed potatoes floating in butter - and green beans to add a healthy element to our meal. LOL
Korean BBQ Beef grilling at the table. You get the raw marinated meat and bring it to the table and cook it yourself. This type is made from spare rib meat and is known as Kalbi. :)
If you get a chance to travel through Texas, try to head over to Lockhart, a town small in size but filled with a bunch of legendary BBQ places such as Black's, featured here.
I'm working on self-publishing a big book of restaurant photographs I've been working on the past 10+ years. If you'd like to support it and pre-order a copy that would be amazing, check out the link here:

It is definitely a Friday the thirteenth type of day. Old man winter just won't quit. Doc and I awoke to grey skies and snow this morning. The ground is white again, and it will just add more water to the flooding that is taking place in our area. Alaska has had a lot of weather challenges this winter, and our summer is getting shorter with every passing day. We are down to 3 months before it will be time to don jackets for autumn - and I am still having to grab a jacket right now, in the middle of May! Meanwhile, we can fire up our ovens for baking, and not worry about overheating our cabins - (unlike my friends and family members in the lower forty-eight.)
In this photo you see three pounds of BBQ ribs hot from the oven. Mighty tasty on any type of day. :-)
Finished product... "Off the chart delicious" (according to the guests). But then again, they want to be invited back for more!

Texas-style brisket, smoked pastrami, and slow-smoked ribs, from the Travelin’ Bones food truck, and as enjoyed outside at the Oakholm Brewery in Brookfield, Massachusetts, on a bright, sunny, and warm autumn day. All three of these meats were excellent.
