I believe I had to hold my head up to shoot such as it's hanging on the ceiling. :-))

Camellia japonica, known as common camellia, or Japanese camellia, is a species of flowering plant in the family Theaceae. There are thousands of cultivars of C. japonica in cultivation, with many colors and forms of flowers. In the U.S. it is sometimes called japonica.

"Magnolia Plaza lies in front of the beaux arts Administration Building and showcases the trees in Brooklyn Botanic Garden's renowned magnolia collection.

In March, the early-blooming star magnolias begin to flower, covering the trees with a multitude of white blossoms. In April and into May, the ivory, yellow, pink, and rich purple flowers of the later-blooming magnolias emerge, including many hybrids developed by BBG.

The plaza was designed by landscape architect Harold Caparn and was first planted in 1932.

Where I used to live, at the street adjacent to my house, there were at least 25 of them lined up in a "L" shaped street! Quite a beautiful view in this time of year!!

This was in my archives, nothing seen here yet.

There is a yellow magnolia tree on the left hand side. Please view L

As seen at Brooklyn Botanical Garden

You capture a flower that is just awesome! At least I think so.

This is the time to visit the botanic gardens where spring flowers are in FULL bloom. Unfortunately, due to the anti-Asian hate crimes that have been increasing to 165% this year (it's reported the other day), I'm scared to pay a visit to NYC nowadays. :-(((

Lilies in the rose garden at BBG

@BBG - You should see the lilac garden at Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, NYC, at least 100 species or more there.

Can't visit it now. :-(
