Finally getting a chance to watch 'The Hour' on BBC America. After a couple episodes I'm hooked! I really hope they are doing a second season...this show is too good to only do one season. I'm kind of obsessed with Dominic West right now after seeing this and 'Appropriate Adult' on Sundance recently. 'The Wire' is next on my list to check out.

Took this whilst waiting for a ride. It was considered the height of modernist chic about 30 years ago.

We had a cargo of windmill blades loading on the "BBC Mississippi" last weekend to Chile.

The BBC's French language service for Africa says it listens to the continent. At the very least, they have had some very hard-working employees over the years. Behind, a residential street in Kinshasa. Like the rest of the city, it was largely barren on election day as shops, restaurants and markets shuttered their doors (at least the ones that have doors).

I always advise people not to trust the fungi one finds in Epping Forest - here is a good illustration why. These flies visit a variety of unsavoury places before alighting on edible oyster mushrooms.
