Finally getting a chance to watch 'The Hour' on BBC America. After a couple episodes I'm hooked! I really hope they are doing a second season...this show is too good to only do one season. I'm kind of obsessed with Dominic West right now after seeing this and 'Appropriate Adult' on Sundance recently. 'The Wire' is next on my list to check out.
The BBC's French language service for Africa says it listens to the continent. At the very least, they have had some very hard-working employees over the years. Behind, a residential street in Kinshasa. Like the rest of the city, it was largely barren on election day as shops, restaurants and markets shuttered their doors (at least the ones that have doors).

Pirate BBC Essex 2017.
The BBC & Pharos Trust confirmed that the LV18 was to play host to Pirate BBC Essex at Harwich Docks from 12th to 14th August 2017.
14th August this year marked the 50th anniversary of the Marine Offences Act which ended the reign of the pirate broadcasters in 1967, although Radio Caroline continued until 3rd March 1968.
The broadcast over the August weekend culminated with a unique link up with a Radio Caroline
