Casting my mind back to how things were for me ten years ago, everything in this image would have been inconceivable. Silhouetted against the shining sea stands the most wonderful person on this earth. The path to here was not an easy one, yet it has been the most rewarding of journeys. And this place, at Ngapali, will always be very, very special.

St Martin’s Island a small island in the northeast of the bay of bengal, about 9 km south of the Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf peninsular tip and forming the southernmost part of Bangladesh.

The city of Vizag has many beaches with the best being the Rishikonda beach. This shot captures the fascinating waves forming the white froth that hit the rocks incessantly and then continues to recedes, under the beautiful midnight blue sky full of stars!

Early morning scene at the Marina beach, processed from the archives :)

Yarada Beach is a beautiful beach on the west coast of the Bay of Bengal in Yarada, a village a few kilometers from Visakhapatnam. Yarada Beach is surrounded by green hills and the beach is dotted with lush green surroundings, soft golden sands and rocks. The wave hits these rocks and the white foamy water gushes where ever it finds a path and then again recedes. This action is captured so beautifully in this shot. To add to the beauty is the amazing sky with different tones of color blue!

The Shore Temple (built in 700–728 AD) is so named because it overlooks the shore of the Bay of Bengal. It is a structural temple, built with blocks of granite, dating from the 8th century AD. It was built on a promontory sticking out into the Bay of Bengal at Mahabalipuram, a village south of Chennai in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. At the time of its creation, the village was a busy port during the reign of Narasimhavarman II of the Pallava dynasty. As one of the Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram, it has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. It is one of the oldest structural (versus rock-cut) stone temples of South India.

RushiKonda Beach is known as the Jewel of the East Coast. The unspoiled beauty of the beach is its main attraction and offers a unique opportunity to relax and enjoy the golden sands and gentle ocean currents. The beach is a haven for watersports lovers and is popular among windsurfers and jet skiers. However, it is the scenic beauty of the beach that lures visitors throughout the year, who come to enjoy spending time amidst greenery, golden sands and azure waters. This shot taken at dusk captures the beauty of city fully lit and the lights reflecting beautifully on the waves. Incidentally the colors of the light are that of India's tricolor. The hills, a little canopy, rocks and the sandy beach give it a perfectly relaxing atmosphere!

I always love the Kalipur beach for the peace and solitude in the air...I enjoyed an elegant sunrise that day...taken in Diglipur, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India

Tarua Beach is currently a potential tourist destination. The beauty of Tarua Island, which rises in the Bay of Bengal in Dhalchar Union under Dakshin Aicha Police Station of Bhola District, is truly eye-catching.

Nature's form is seen here in the play of light and darkness. You will also find a spectacular view of the Red Sun getting lost in the chest of the Red Sea by climbing the stairs in the evening sky. You will also be mesmerized by the incomparable sight of the whole beach being filled with redness.
